In an interview with the Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, revealed that he did considered to convert the film to 3D, but following the extensive time that post-production would have taken up, it was just not enough. He said, "We couldn't have turned over the version of the movie 10 or 20 weeks earlier for 3d conversion without undermining the quality. We used all the time we had for mixing and editing and discovering the right tone." Clash of the Titans suffered a backlash from critics after the studio decided to hastily convert the film to 3D a few weeks before it was scheduled to be released in theaters. But the bottomline is that the movie made a killing at the box-office and that's all that matters to the studio. But he said, "The team has been doing a lot of research into 3D processes, and we're looking at it on the future films when we have the time. We will be doing it at some point." There are three or more Marvel movies that are on the way (Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Spider-Man , Thor). I highly doubt, though, that Kenneth Branagh's Thor would be filmed in 3D because it is already in production and would just have to be converted to 3D after it has been completed. Captain America seems likely to be the first Avenger to be filmed in 3D. The movie will start filming late or after June. Chris Evans has been chosen to wear the star-spangled costume, and he will fight against the Red Skull played by Hugo Weaving. It will be directed by Joe Johnston. It is slated to be shown on July 22, 2011. The Avengers is scheduled to be released on May 4, 2012. Some of the stars slated to reprise their superhero roles Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Edward Norton as The Incredible Hulk, and Don Cheadle as War Machine. Sony earlier announced this year that the upcoming Spider-Man has been rebooted and will be filmed in 3D. It will be directed by Marc Webb. But they still haven't chosen who will play Spidey. Percy Jackson's Logan Lerman was said to play the superhero but the studio quickly denied the rumor. The film has been set to be released on July 3, 2012.
