Glee Creator Ryan Murphy Calls for Newsweek Boycott Posted: 12 May 2010 12:10 AM PDT Kristin Chenoweth is the first one to speak out and now, Glee creator Ryan Murphy urging people to boycott Newsweek until it apologizes for the critical article about gay actors shouldn't play straight roles. Ryan Murphy issued an open letter: "I would like to join my good friend Kristin Chenoweth on her condemnation of a recent Newsweek article written by Mr. Ramin Setoodeh, in which Setoodeh basically says that out gay actors should go back into the closet and never attempt to play straight characters. This article is as misguided as it is shocking and hurtful. It shocks me because Mr. Setoodeh is himself gay. But what is the most shocking of all is that Newsweek went ahead and published such a blatantly homophobic article in the first place…and has remained silent in the face of ongoing (and justified) criticism. Would the magazine have published an article where the author makes a thesis statement that minority actors should only be allowed and encouraged to play domestics? I think not. Today, I have asked GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios to stand with me and others and ask for an immediate boycott of Newsweek magazine until an apology is issued to Sean Hayes and other brave out actors who were cruelly singled out in this damaging, needlessly cruel, and mind-blowingly bigoted piece. An apology should also be issued to all gay readers of the magazine…steelworkers, parents, accountants, doctors, etc…proud hardworking Americans who, if this article is to be believed, should only identify themselves as "queeny" people (a word used by Setoodeh in the article) who stand at the back of the bus and embrace an outdated decades old stereotype. Tyra Banks 's novel: "Modelland" Posted: 11 May 2010 11:52 PM PDT Tyra Banks is adding another title under her flourishing career - as an "Author". Teaming up with Random House, The TV host wrote a novel called "Modelland" (pronounced "Model Land") which is a three-series book. It is based on the real people in her life as well as some of the models she known who are nice and bitchy! Tyra said, "The story follows a teen girl and her friends who find themselves magically transported to Modelland. Every girl in the world wants to go there because it's where "Intoxibellas" are trained. Intoxibellas are drop-dead beautiful, kick-butt fierce and, yeah, maybe they have some powers too." |

Miley Cyrus Dirty dancing (grinding - video) Posted: 11 May 2010 09:37 PM PDT After her lap dance photo with "The Last Song" producer Adam Shankman last year, it seems Miley Cyrus will be facing another controversy in which a video shows Miley and Adam caught dancing inappropriately in front of young children. "The video was taken about seven months ago at a wrap party for The Last Song," the source exclusively told RadarOnline. "The worst part is that there were little kids at the party and the dancing between Miley and Adam was so dirty that some of the parents actually left the party and took their kids home."Reportedly, 2 controversial video clips exist: the first one is Shankman on the dance floor with a drink in hand grinding up against Cyrus' backside while she grinds back. Miley also teased Adam by seductively opening her shirt. The second video: Miley is doing a naughty lap dance while children under the age of 10 sit less than five feet away watching her. Miley really wants her image to evolve and she's fed up from people who always criticize her. Below : TMZ got the exclusive preview clip of Miley's grinding clip.
