Ryan Secrest, seated with Kim Kardashian at the star-studded White House Correspondents banquet, admits he was shocked when she whispered her super-secret diet trick: "I spray Windex on my food so I won't eat it!" Blurted Ryan: "What do you do, carry it around in your purse?" Giggling, Kim told him she uses the Windex trick at home, mostly – but when she's out on the town, she pours soda to spoil temptation for unwanted meals.

Dear Kim,

Here are 3 more responsible solutions:

1. Order a smaller portion / cook less.

2. Save: Pack what you don’t eat and eat it later at home.

3. Share: Instead of spraying it, offer the food to someone who wants it, whether it’s your neighbor, a homeless person, a friend, a dog.

You know I like to keep things light here, but wow, this is terrible. It’s wasteful, it’s promoting an unhealthy attitude towards food, it’s irresponsible and very offensive to the people that are (unwillingly) deprived of food.

I-don’t-know-why-we-still-call-her-plus-size model Crystal Renn walked for Chanel’s 2011 Cruise Collection in St. Tropez – and why is this a big news? Because a while back, Chanel’s head designer and creative director, Karl Lagerfeld said:

“No one wants to see curvy women. You’ve got fat mothers with their bags of chips sitting in front of the television and saying that thin models are ugly.”

Since then, Kaiser Karl shot a story for V Magazine’s spring 2010 issue, which included mostly plus-size models. Though Crystal Renn was featured in the magazine, Lagerfeld’s shoot was with undeniably curvy burlesque performer Miss Dirty Martini. (Crystal Renn was shot alongside Jacquelyn Jablonksi by Terry Richardson.) Why would Unkle Karl, who has made no secret of how much he hates fat, hire Crystal Renn to walk on his runway?

Maybe because Crystal lost a lot of weight? Remember when Crystal looked like this?

A few days ago, Price of Persia’s Gemma Arterton told us that her slender figure “doesn’t come naturally”. Today, Gemma complains about how the industry makes her feel fat sometimes:

"It is ridiculous. I went to a designer the other day — who will remain nameless — and he said to me: "I'm amazed that you're fitting into these sample sizes. I said, "I'm a size eight to ten! I should be amazed that the largest you're making these is a size six.'"

'Occasionally, I come home and say to my fiance [stunt driver Stefano Mioni]: "I feel really fat."

'He says: "Will you just listen to yourself? You know you're being silly." And I do know that when I'm home, but in the business it's different.'

"The only way that I could ever be a size six is if I didn't eat. I'm not naturally meant to be that size, and I just feel like there's a responsibility to people who aren't that size to make that known. All I can do, I think, is try to look good. I have things made for me so they fit."
