Want To Visit The ‘LOST’ Island? This Detailed Map Will Lead The Way!

Posted: 18 Jun 2010 07:02 PM PDT

Now that Lost has come and gone, epic discussions and debates held about what happened and whether it all worked perfectly or failed miserably, you might just be thinking "I need to GO to there and hang out on that island immediately!" People say that, right? It can't be just me thinking this.

Have no fear, you would not be alone. Should you go all the way to Hawaii just to visit this one location? Probably not -- there's plenty more to see there -- but if you're heading there on vacation anyway, why not visit?

If this is you, now there's a map that fully marks out all of the important landmarks and locations from the hit ABC show, along with all Dharma Initiative stations, and the flight patterns of aircraft such as Oceanic Flight 815.

Be sure to head on over to the other side to get a peek at this Lost island map. [...]

Peter Berg’s ‘Battleship’ Adds ‘True Blood’ Sheriff Alexander Skarsgård

Posted: 18 Jun 2010 05:33 PM PDT

Eric Northam was a Viking in his day. Hundreds of years later, he's a vampire sheriff, and one of the more popular characters on HBO's hit show, True Blood.

Eric is played on the show by the massive Swedish actor, Alexander Skarsgård, son of Stellan Skarsgård, who now has himself a new job. Skarsgård has been cast in the upcoming Hasbro board game-turned feature film, Battleship.

In the movie, Skarsgård will play a naval officer and sibling to Taylor Kitsch's character -- also a naval officer -- who's close to and looks up to his brother. If you'll recall, Kitsch was cast in the lead role back in April after things didn't quite work out with Jeremy Renner.

Battleship will of course deal with a naval fleet of ships, but that's about where it ends. The movie will take a surprise route from there, seeing said naval fleet band together with different international fleets to combat an apparent army of alien invaders who seek a power source within the Earth's oceans. Pricey Motion: Microsoft’s Kinect Will Run You $149.99

Posted: 18 Jun 2010 12:43 PM PDT

During the now-closed E3 2010 video game convention, both Microsoft and Sony showed off their motion-based gaming systems, primed and ready to try and compete with the Nintendo Wii.

Sony brought to the table their PlayStation Move, some impressive demonstrations of games it will be compatible with, and even a rundown of prices for each of the bundles that will be available. On the other side, Microsoft brought their own Project Natal, shared that it would now be called "Kinect" instead, and showed off some of the games and features that it would hold. The curious thing about Microsoft is that they seemed to be keeping the price tag their own special secret.

Now the word is out: Amazon is now accepting pre-orders for the Microsoft Kinect system, and it will run you a not-so-cool $149.99.

That's half the price of what a decent Xbox 360 will run you, and a significant investment on something not yet proven to be worth it. [...]

Snoop Dogg Really Likes HBO’s ‘True Blood’

Posted: 18 Jun 2010 11:20 AM PDT

Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg really likes vampire drama True Blood, or at the very least, one of the show's main characters Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin).

Evidence of Snoop's True Blood-fanboyism can overwhelmingly be found in the music video "Oh Sookie" he produced and subsequently uploaded to YouTube to promote the show for HBO.

It is everything you'd think it would be, and probably even a little bit more.

Check out the video embedded below and then share your Vampire-Hip-Hop puns in the comment section please.

The video begins with Snoop pulling up to Merlotte's in a tricked-out Cadillac with a personalized California license plate that reads "TRU PIMP." He comes bearing gifts like "Tru Nutz" and proceeds to rap amongst a montage of True Blood clips and shots of Sookie look-a-like dancers [...]

E3 2010: ‘Star Wars’ Stands Tall With ‘Old Republic’ Trailer & New Kinect Game!

Posted: 18 Jun 2010 10:13 AM PDT

As usual, Star Wars made a big splash at E3 2010. And not just a big splash with one single title, but with THREE new upcoming titles that they were there to show off.

As you may have saw here before E3, a new cinematic trailer for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II showed up. That by itself was pretty insane, but it was also just the start of a week that should have Star Wars fans drooling everywhere.

Aside from Force Unleashed, the other massive game that's been in development at LucasArts for a long, long time is of course Star Wars: The Old Republic. We have seen a lot of goodies and gameplay for the RPG/MMO title starting at last year's E3, but the folks from Bioware and EA reloaded and returned set to top themselves with an amazing new cinematic trailer.

Use the Schwartz to get yourselves over to the other side to see this trailer and much more as well! [...]

‘Inglourious Basterd’ Michael Fassbender To Play Magneto In ‘X-Men: First Class’

Posted: 18 Jun 2010 09:12 AM PDT

Not too long after finding out that Wanted and Atonement star James McAvoy would be taking on the younger version of Patrick Stewart's Professor Xavier role in X-Men: First Class, words came around that Michael Fassbender might just be playing Magneto.

The delay with that casting was that the actor had to choose between Magneto -- played so very well by Ian McKellen in Bryan Singer's X-Men and X2: X-Men United -- and playing one of the villains in Sony's reboot of the Spider-Man franchise. It's unknown which villain he might of played, but many suspect it would have been the Lizard.

According to reports, Fassbender appears to have chosen to side with X-Men. The actor has entered into negotiations to play the role, which will see him becoming the younger Magneto when he was very close with McAvoy's Professor X character. The story will revolve around this aspect of their relationship, when their views pushed them apart, and Xavier's development of his school for gifted mutants. [...]

E3 2010: Leonard Nimoy Stars In ‘The Terminator’ With ‘Yoostar 2′ Movie Karaoke

Posted: 18 Jun 2010 06:40 AM PDT

Leonard Nimoy may have retired from acting on us, but that's not stopping him from doing some top-notch fake acting. If you haven't heard of the game Yoostar, it's basically just like karaoke...but instead of singing, you get to put yourself right in the lead roles of your favorite movies of all time.

At E3 this week, Yoostar 2 was being shown off, and stars from Star Trek old and new were there to help test it out. The game runs using Microsoft's motion system once known as Project Natal and now known as Kinect, recording your image, placing it where the familiar star of the movie usually stands as you read your lines on the screen. After, you can go back and now watch your Oscar-winning re-performance.

To test the game, Nimoy threw on some shades and stepped in front of the TV where he became none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Terminator. Nimoy read the lines from the famous "I'll be back" scene, and then watched it played back. [...]
