Looking more relax, She told the crowd, "Let's be honest here, just for a moment. We're all going to be honest, right? Did I win this for being entertainer of the year, or did I win this because of the spectacular I.E.D. explosion that became my personal life?"

She went under the radar since the cheating scandal of her husband broke out after she won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in "The Blind Side" earlier this year.

Miley Cyrus Defends Lesbian Kiss controversy; "Get Over It", Miley says

Posted: 05 Jun 2010 05:00 PM PDT

Miley Cyrus is in the hot seat again after her performance in Britain's Got Talent performance, in which she simulated a lesbian kiss in the middle of her act.

The 17 year-old star defended her performance and she tells her fans that the kiss never happened.
She wrote via her official website, To all my fans,

Thank you for all the support you all show me. Sometimes youre the
only thing keepin' me goin' strong!

There are so many people out there that are so negative and always
causing new issues.
I feel like the entertainment industry has become nothing but a
disgusting tabloid.

I performed Cant Be Tamed this week on one of my favorite shows here
in the UK Britians Got Talent. Which is totally true, there were some
amazinnnggg acts (but of course no one could focus on that.)

I had such a blast and was so honored to be on that stage. That being
said during my performance I supposedly "KISSED A GIRL" and this is
the newest thing to cause controversy.

I promise you I did not kiss her and it is ridiculous that two
entertainers cant even rock out with each other without the media
making it some type of story. I really hope my fans are not
disappointed in me because the truth is I did nothing wrong. I got up
there and did my job which is to perform to the best of my ability. I
just want to put an end to this right now and just say one thing to
everyone out there making this performance such a big deal.

GET OVER IT! NOTHING HAPPENED. THERE ARE WAYYYYYYY MORE IMPORTANT
THINGS IN THE WORLD.
Lets start focusing a little less on making up ignorant rumors and
focus a little more on world peace!
We gotta a lot of work to do if we wan this earth to be here much
longer. Lets make a change! It wouldn't hurt the world to show a
little more love.

Carla Abellana in Circuit Magazine's Freedom issue

Posted: 05 Jun 2010 04:09 PM PDT

Circuit Magazine is celebrating Independence Day with it's Freedom issue featuring Independence Day birthday celebrant/actress Carla Abellana.

The 23 year-old actress shared her thoughts about politics, the upcoming Aquino administration and her boundaries as a young adult.

Some highlights of her interview:

Are you a rebel or a follower? No, I'm very obedient. I'm disciplined. I was raised that way. I don't go crazy when I'm free or what.

If you were to write a note "Dear Mr. President," what would you tell him? Dear Mr. President, your mother started something very good for the country. We hope that you will continue her legacy.

And now it looks like it's going to be Noynoy. Yeah! But you know what, there's hope. The hope of Filipinos is there. So hopefully, he gives justice to his victory as President. But we'll see. It's good that everybody has hope.

Who's your freedom icon? My mom. From what she went she went through early in her life, she got to go out and do anything she wants—because she came from a bad marriage. Then, she had us very early. She just worked and did everything she wanted. She's my icon.

This June issue also celebrates Pinoys progressive pop culture through the "Pinoy Pride List," hot picks in music, books and movie. More info about the events, the stories and the people who celebrate freedom.

Carla is currently busy with her two GMA drama series projects: "Sine Novela: Basahang Ginto" and "Love Bug Presents Last Romance".
