This week’s episode is entitled “The Homecoming Hangover” and on this episode, Aria begins to receive messages from someone other than A, bringing tension up to her home. Meanwhile, the girls get some killing information about Toby that some people would die to get their hands on. Sara Shepard, writer of the Pretty Little Liars book makes a special appearance in the episode as a substitute teacher at Rosewood High School. – So another version of “A” appears. Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent who gave an oath to duty, honor, and country. She is then accused by a defector of being a KGB secret agent who is sent out to assassinate the President of the United States. Using her years of training, she goes out on the run to redeem herself and prove to the authority that she is wrongfully accused. But her efforts then seemed to cast some shadow on who Salt really is. Is she really a patriot being set up or is she really a Russian spy? The script, written by Kurt Wimmer and Brian Helgeland, was first offered to Tom Cruise as Edward A. Salt, but he declined because of Sceduling conflicts, and the actor felt that the role was closely similar to his character Ethan Hunt in the Mission: Impossible series. The role was then offered to Angelina Jolie, who has been in talks with the Paramount Pictures executive for having a female spy franchise, much like the Bond films, and the Bourne series. The character then underwent a gender change, from Edward to Evelyn Salt. This is the comeback movie of Jolie after her Oscar-nominated role in The Changeling directed by Clint Eastwood way back in 2008. This also marks the seventh action movie of the sexy actress following Gone in 60 Seconds (2000),Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003), Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), and Wanted (2008). Salt is directed by Phillip Noyce. It also stars Live Schreiber as Ted Winter and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Peabody. It will be shown in theaters on July 23, 2010, or you can also watch Salt online.
