Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the seventh and last installment of the Harry Potter series. The book is written by British author J.K. Rowling and is the fast-selling book in history with more than 15 million copies worldwide. Rowling finished writing the book in January 11, 2007 at the Balmoral hotel in Edinburgh and was released in July 21, 2007. She considers this as her favorite and said that it was a wonderful way to finish the series.

Almost all the original cast members will return to reprise their roles in the past installments. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint have literally grown up in front of our eyes. Radcliffe plays the title role Harry Potter. He was only 10 years old when he first played the orphaned wizard. Watson portrays the Hermione Granger and was only 10 years when she was cast as highly intelligent Muggle. Rupert Grint was also 11 years old when he played the red-haired Ron Weasley. The three lead characters are very close friends and are members of the Gryffindor house at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Other cast members include Alan Rickman as Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Severus Snape, two-time Oscar winner Dame Maggie Smith as Deputy Headmistress Minerva McGonagall, Michael Gambon as Hogwarts headmaster as Albus Dumbledore, Robbie Coltrane as Keeper of Keys and Grounds Rubeus Hagrid, multi-award winning actress Emma Thompson as professor of Divination Sybill Trelawney, Bill Nighy as Head of Auror Office Rufus Scrimgeour, and Oscar winner Jim Broadbent as Slytherin Head Horace Slughorn. Also in the film are BAFTA winner Ralph Fiennes as the main antagonist Lord Voldemort, Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy, Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange, Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy, and Imelda Staunton as Dolores Umbridge. Toby Jones will return to voice the house-elf Dobby.

The movie is directed by David Yates with the screenplay by Steve Kloves. The first part will be released on November 19, 2010. You can also watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows online.
