Warner Bros. Suing After Harry Potter Condoms

Who first comes to mind when you think of round glasses and a wand? Harry Potter, right?  That is why Warner Bros. is suing a Swiss condom company for using the trademark of the orphaned wizard from the pages of J. K. Rowling's beloved series. British actor Daniel Radcliffe played the role on the big screen for about a decade now. And the seventh installment of the movie franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly part I is slated to hit theaters later this fall.

The condom manufacturer, Magic X offered a statement saying that their product "has nothing to do with Harry Potter." Of course not. With a name Harry Popper, a condom who is bespectacled and a magic wand, it obviously has nothing to do with Harry Potter who is bespectacled and has a magic wand. Wink, wink. Obviously the studio is not happy about this whole incident and said, "The image of my client is in danger. This is clearly a reference to the film and fictional Harry Potter. Everyone who sees the condoms automatically thinks of Harry Potter." Not surprisingly, they are taking legal actions to ban the Harry Potter condoms for copyright infringement. The Cantonal Court in Schwyz, Switzerland will decide in coming weeks on what will be done with the said condoms.

Let's just have to wait and see whether we get to see more of those pesky Harry Potter condoms in shelves. And of course there is a huge chance that they will be out of stock in supermarkets because, clearly with that long, and his trusty wand, Harry Potter is such the sex symbol of this generation. Oh, come on. No pun intended.

Harry Potter will next be seen on November 19, 201 when the big screen of the adaptation of the first part of the 759-page novel will hit theaters. But you can also watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows online.
