Harry Potter Star to Quit Acting?

Posted: 26 Aug 2010 11:34 PM PDT

She has basically grown up in front of our eyes. She was only about ten years old when we first saw this talented girl as the gifted, book-smart miss-know-it-all Muggle-born witch Hermione Granger. And now, ten years after, Emma Watson wants to quit acting?

The 20-year old star hints that she is planning to quit acting after the Harry Potter series. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been split into two films and Part I will be released later this fall, while the second half will hit theaters mid-next year. She recently finished shooting for the next installment of the movie franchise in which she suffered some minor injuries while doing her scenes. Unlike her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint who both have upcoming projects, the British actress and model's schedule is pretty clean and clear. She has nothing in the works. And in a recent interview with a British newspaper, she said she is going back to school this fall. She attends Brown University, an Ivy League located in Providence, Rhode Islands.

She told the Daily Express, "I think I need to find some real belief in myself away from acting. I know that I can play Hermione but I don't know… I really think I need to recharge my batteries and go and be me for a bit."

Watson also said that she was happy to be included in Harry Potter as she found many good friends and revealed some of the cast members that she got close with. She said, "I really got on with Emma Thompson. I loved how she was down-to-earth, so kind, and she doesn't ignore anyone. She pays attention to everyone from the sound guy to the director. I really loved to do her bits." She also added, "Maggie Smith is absolute sweetie. She sends me chocolate and a note at Christmas."

If this is true, you should likely watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows online because this may be the last time you'll see Emma Watson acting.

3 New Harry Potter Images Surfaced

Posted: 26 Aug 2010 06:58 PM PDT

Warner Bros. is pulling out all their resources to promote their upcoming tentpole film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. They published several posters, banners, as well as photos and images on different magazines and unveiled the brand new characters on the seventh installment of the series. They also released a sling of trailers, clips, featurettes, and TV spots. A 20-acre theme park now stands in Universal Orlando in Florida, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Britain also has an answer as the Leavesden Studio in London, where most of the movies were shot, will also be turned into a tourist attraction. Plus, the countless merchandise like shirts, notebooks, toys, and games. Never mind the fact that is based on one of the most popular children's book saga by best-selling author J. K. Rowling. Heck, the movie franchise has earned so far $5.4 billion at the box-office worldwide, making it the most successful movie franchise of all time.

Now, the studio has released three new images from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I. They have surfaced online thanks to Scar Potter, a Portuguese fansite. The latest scans are said to appear in Portraits of the Wizarding World, a sticker album which is lasted to be released next month. It is still not confirmed if it will be sold exclusively in Portugal or if it will be available worldwide.

One of the photo shows the three lead characters, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron Weaseley (Rupert Grint), and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), peeking to a curtain of what looks like to be from within the Grimmauld Place, home of the Black family. Another is a shot of Hermione and Ron inside a tent. And also there's an image of Hermione wearing a necklace with one of the Horcruxes, Salazar Slytherin's Locket.

See these scenes in their full glory when you watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows online. The first Part will hit theaters on November 19, 2010, and Part II will be released on July 2011.
