Jim Carrey takes on "Mr. Popper's Penguins"

Actor Jim Carrey has secured the role to star in 20th Century Fox's family pic "Mr. Popper's Penguins," a film adaptation based on 1938 children's book.

According to THR, "Carrey plays a New York businessman who receives a half-dozen penguins who wreak havoc on his business and apartment before he finds important life lessons in their presence."

The film is on the fast track at Fox and will begin production in October in New York.
Sean Anders and John Morris will be penning the modern storyline for this movie. Under the direction of Mark Waters (The Spiderwick Chronicles, Freaky Friday and Mean Girls).

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Ties the Knot!!

True Blood stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are now officially married!

According to US Weekly, The two exchanged vows at a private residence in Malibu, California on Saturday evening, August 21. The ceremony took place on a tent near the beach.

Some of the guest includes Elijah Wood and True Blood costar Carrie Preston with husband Michael Emerson.

Paquin and Moyer began dating just a few months after filming the True Blood's first season in 2008, and announced their engagement last August 2009.

Jay Mariotti arrested On Domestic Violence

ESPN commentator and Fanhouse columnist Jay Mariotti was arrested on a felony charge of domestic violence in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 21.

According to radaronline, Mariotti was involved in an argument with her girlfriend which later on allegedly got physical. The police were called at 4.30am.
Jay was released after he posted $50,000 bail.

More hot photos of model/former beauty queen Priscilla Meirelles as she is currently the August 2010 cover girl of FHM Philippines.

In her FHM interview, Priscilla was asked why she's not doing a telenovela or a movie yet? she answered: "Sana sa susunod. I've done as much as I could when it comes to modeling. So I feel very fulfilled in the modeling field. And the reason I started learning Tagalog is because I do eventually want to pursue an acting career. So kapag marunong na akong mag-Tagalog talaga I can be part of something like that. I actually have done an indie movie, Ika-Sampu. It's a horror movie. I play the best friend of the lead female character. I haven't seen it yet pero sabi nila maganda."
The 26 year-old Brazilian beauty won Miss Earth 2004 and she's engaged to actor John Estrada.

Wyclef Jean was rejected to run as Haiti's Presidential candidate

Wyclef Jean's intention to become the next President of Haiti has been denied after the election council disapproved his candidacy.  Total of  34 contenders are running  for the Haitian presidency but 15 candidates were rejected and 19 were approved.

Wyclef failed to satisfy legal residency requirements to run in his native country which is at least five years before the election.

Haiti's presidential election will be on November 28.

Spencer Pratt & Heidi Montag Sex Tape price tag $5 million

Spencer Pratt's ambitious mind is really sky high and he thinks that releasing the sex tape of his soon-to-be ex-wife Heidi Montag will be good for her career like Kim Kardshian.

Spencer tells TMZ, "When I realized how much Kim [Kardashian] was making, my logic is this is the best thing I can do for my ex-wife. Kim is on the cover of Allure right now. Heidi isn't on the cover of Allure."

Spencer reportedly is asking for $5 million dollars for the controversial sex tape. He brags that the footage "makes Kim Kardashian look like an amateur".

Bb. Pilipinas International 2009 Melody Gersbach killed in a car accident!

Bb. Pilipinas International 2009 Melody Gersbach was killed after a fatal car accident at Bula Town, Camarines Sur on Saturday morning August 21, 2010.

Melody Gersbach with her three companions were on their way to Naga City for a local beauty pageant when their Toyota Innova collided head-on to a Guevarra passenger bus. Initial reports says the passenger bus overtook a motorcycle and failed to return to the right lane, causing the accident.

The driver of the bus identified as Wilson Pontillas has surrendered to the police.

The two other confirmed casualties were identified as Dodong Ramos (driver), and Alden Orense,. Fashion desginer Ronald Lita survived the accident and is currently in critical condition at the Bicol Medical Center.

Gerbach represented the Philippines in the 2009 Miss International pageant in China where she was among the semi-finalists.
