‘Kick-Ass’ Star Chloe Moretz Lands Lead Role In ‘Emily The Strange’ Movie Posted: 23 Sep 2010 06:13 PM PDT The Dark Horse Comics title, Emily the Strange, has a feature film adaptation on the way, and an actress has been chosen to take on the lead role. It's been announced that Chloe Moretz, who made waves for her turn as Hit-Girl in Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass and is getting ready to strike fear as a centuries old vampire girl in the Let the Right One In remake, Let Me In, is now attached to star as Emily. The young actress has been skyrocketing to fame since playing the ultra-violent Hit-Girl, landing the mentioned roles as well as parts in Martin Scorsese's Hugo Cabret and five others in various stages of production. She's also set to reprise her role in the planned Kick-Ass 2. The movie adaptation of Emily the Strange comes from Universal Pictures, with Dark Horse's Mike Richardson producing and comic creator Rob Reger (who knew Moretz was the girl as soon as he met her) executive producing along with Keith Goldberg. It Looks Like ‘Bill & Ted 3′ Might Just Happen According To Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter Posted: 23 Sep 2010 01:55 PM PDT Rumors of a new sequel to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey have been floating around for quite a while now, but it didn't seem like anyone believed it would actually happen. As of late, talks have seemed to heat up about the possible third chapter, and now stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have confirmed that they are in fact developing the movie. This doesn't mean it will definitely happen, of course, but it does sound like they're moving in the right direction. While talking to MTV after Reeves had stated they were working on Bill & Ted 3, Winter elaborated, explaining that the duo have been figuring out ideas for the movie for a long time now but that they didn't want to move forward with it unless it could be done properly. He went on to share that Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon are currently working on the script, but until it was completed and they could all sit down and see where things stood, nothing is official. Comic Review: Hotwire: Requiem for the Dead, Vol. 1 TPB Posted: 23 Sep 2010 12:18 PM PDT Hotwire: Requiem for the Dead, Vol. 1 Volume 1 (paperback) Created by Warren Ellis and Steve Pugh Based on a story by Warren Ellis Writer, Illustrator, and & Letterer: Steve Pugh Radical Publishing Release Date: June 15, 2010 Welcome to a future when we see that technology has advanced in many ways, with a vast array from communications to weaponry. And with this a supernatural twist, ghosts are real and people can see them and share the area around with them. But the term "ghost" is no longer correct, they are now called "Blue lights" and most of the Blue Lights are stuck sort of in Limbo. Most of them are harmless, but there are those that want more and they will literally kill to get it. This is where Detective Exorcist Alice Hotwire comes in. She is basically the "Big Guns" of the police department who handles these special cases. While not well liked by her peers (not that she could really care), she is the only one who is "wired" for the job. When a large amount of Blue Light activity starts showing up and it is due to a break-in at the Mots Island Maximum Security Cemetery, violent acts from Blue Lights start creeping up, and when the term "Ghost Bomb" is thrown into the mix it can't be a good thing. This is where the investigating begins, joined by Detective Mobey, a cop who is not thrilled to work with Detective Hotwire [...] |
