Jean Claude Van Damme suffers minor heart attackHollywood action man Jean Claude Van Damme is said to have suffered a minor heart attack on the set of his new film 'Weapon'. According to website Twitchfilm.net, the 50-year-old martial arts star collapsed on the set of the film in New Orleans and was taken to hospital.

Production on the movie was halted to allow Van Damme time to recover at home in Belgium with his wife, Gladys Portugues. The movie star, dubbed the 'Muscles From Brussels', was likely to make a full recovery, according to a source.

"I'm hearing that production of the film hasn't actually 'halted', it's just worked around Van Damme's close ups. The film is as good as done. I'm also told that Van Damme, 50, had been feeling tight pains in his chest and took himself to hospital to look into it so not as big a drama as (the) headlines may make out." News.com.au quoted Moviehole's Clint Morris as saying.

Matthew Leone Died on Operating TableMadina Lake rocker Matthew Leone died several times on the operating table as surgeons battled to save him following a savage beating.

The bassist was attacked in his native Chicago, Illinois in July (10) after he intervened in a domestic dispute between two strangers.

Now he's revealed he was so badly injured, he "flatlined" several timesduring surgery to his fractured skull - and experienced "peace and an energy" as his life slipped away.

Leone is suffering vertigo and partial facial paralysis as he recuperates from the incident, but he's aiming to be back on stage with his Madina Lake band mates early next year (11)

Leone tells Kerrang! magazine, "I was 15 minutes away from (dying), andthen the surgeons sawed my dome (head) open because I had extreme internal brain haemorrhaging... I also had a few flatlines on the operating table, resulting in some metaphysical experiences that were wildly interesting to see and feel. "I didn't see the pearly white gates with my mom and my bunnies waiting for me, but I did manage to see, feel and connect to a peace and an energy that I never knew existed - that affected me profoundly". Leone is suffering vertigo and partial facial paralysis as he recuperates from the incident, but he's aiming to be back on stage with his Madina Lake band mates early next year (11). He adds, "I have some intense rehabilitation ahead of me and I may have some more surgery, but my goal is to be back onstage by February and in the U.K. by March, when we release the new album World War Iii.

I can't wait to tour again!"

Cheryl Cole gets her wax statue at Madame TussaudsSinger Cheryl Cole is the latest star to be honoured with her own wax replica figure by famous museum Madame Tussauds.

The singer unveiled her wax statue worth $237,660 Wednesday here.

"I can't explain how strange it is! It will take a little while to take in," femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.

The waxwork reflects Cheryl's glamourous look and is styled in a specially-created scarlet floor-length Jean-Paul Gaultier dress with heels. The model also has the 27-year-old pop star's trademark flowing locks and can be seen posing with hands on hips.

The wax figure has been placed in the A-list party area which includes doubles of Dame Helen Mirren, Robert Pattinson and Russell Brand.

"As the reaction of the public here today confirms, Cheryl is one of Britain's hottest celebrities and we're delighted to welcome her to Madame Tussauds London," said Liz Edwards, public relations manager at Madame Tussauds.

"We've been inundated with requests to feature her figure in the attraction and we expect it to quickly become one of the most popular here. Like the real Ms Cole, the figure is a knock out and will fit in perfectly with the glamorous line-up of stars in our A-List party area," she said.
