Full ‘Skyline’ Trailer Offers Better Look At Alien Arrival

Posted: 01 Oct 2010 04:44 PM PDT

Not too long ago, a trailer for the alien invasion movie that seemed to show up out of nowhere, Skyline, was released online but didn't show too much. Now a full trailer has been released, giving us a much better look at the movie.

Skyline tells the story of some strange, almost hypnotic blue lights descending upon Los Angeles from the sky. As multitudes of people flood the streets to feed their curiosity and get a good look at the phenomenon, it's soon realized that the lights are actually extraterrestrials visiting our planet, and they are not here to make friends.

The most intriguing thing about the movie so far is the budget. This is a movie that has the look of a big-budget summer blockbuster but is said to have a very small price tag (directed by brothers and special effects whizzes Colin Strause and Greg Strause) as far as movies these days go.

Bryan Fuller Developing Reboot Of ‘The Munsters’ For NBC

It's being reported that another classic TV series is well on its way to getting a big reboot.

According to sources, NBC has made an order for a pilot episode of The Munsters, based on the popular television series of the '60s starring Fred Gwynne, Al Lewis, and Yvonne De Carlo. The brand new reboot is currently being developed and worked on by TV veteran Bryan Fuller.

Fuller has an impressive resume, working as both a writer and producer on titles like Star Trek: Voyager, Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies, and Heroes.

The Munsters combined two of the most popular genres of that time: blue collar American family sitcoms and monster movies. It featured Herman Munster (Gwynne) as a much more lighthearted take on the Frankenstein monster, his wife Lily (De Carlo) and her father Grandpa (Lewis), who were both vampires, and their children Eddie (Butch Patrick) as a werewolf and Marilyn (Pat Priest). ‘Battlestar Galactica’ & ‘Eureka’ Episodes Added To Netflix Watch Instantly

Battlestar Galactica

Netflix subscribers who have been bored with the selection of streaming media available might take notice of some recent additions to their library, namely Battlestar Galactica.

But for anyone who hasn't seen the show and has been wanting to start, don't clear your DVD queue just yet. The first disc of the season 1 set is only available to rent as a DVD for some strange reason. This disc contains the 2-part miniseries that was created prior to being given a green light for a full season. And apparently it counts differently, except for that it's listed as the official first two episodes of the show now.

The addition of the BSG episodes are part of a deal Netflix struck with NBC to add older content to its library, which also includes over 100 episodes of Saturday Night Live, Eureka, and much more [...]

Watch Now: Old Spice Guy as Luke Cage… Sort Of

Posted: 01 Oct 2010 09:09 AM PDT

Isaiah Mustafa aka "The Old Spice Guy" is clearly having a moment. He's won over many fans as the "Man Your Man Could Smell Like" in the Old Spice commercials. He's also recently appeared on Chuck and has a role in an upcoming Tyler Perry movie.

Recently, Mustafa has been campaigning for the role of Marvel Comics character Luke Cage. He originally revealed his dream of playing Luke Cage during an interview on G4's Attack of the Show. The interwebs latched onto this idea, and now there is an "Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Cage" Facebook page. However, history has shown that aggressive campaigns for comic book hero roles usually tend to backfire. The images of Sean Young in a poorly made Catwoman suit on Joan Rivers' talkshow and Thomas Jane's excellent (though unsuccessful) Jonah Hex photo spring to mind.

Mustafa has yet to be cast as Luke Cage in a film, but Marvel.com released a hilariously awesome Youtube video of Mustafa playing Luke Cage in a rather unique venue. Watch the awesomeness below.
