| Brand New Bellatrix Lestrange Poster Unveiled Posted: 16 Oct 2010 01:17 AM PDT Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I is slated to hit theaters in just a few weeks from now. And Warner Bros. is heavily promoting the upcoming movie. They have released quite a handful of images, videos, clips, and posters. And now, the studio has unveiled a brand new character poster to be added to your gallery. The banner features Bellatrix Lestrange. The villainous witch is played by English actress Helena Bonham Carter. She is best known for appearing in several of Tim Burton's films like Big Fish, Planet of the Apes, Charlie and the Chocolate factory, Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Alice in Wonderland. She received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for the 1997 movie The Wings of the Dove. The Times has named her one of the Top 10 British Actresses of all time alongside Oscar winners Julie Andrews, Helen Mirren, Audrey Hepburn, Vanessa Redgrave, Elizabeth Taylor, and Harry Potter co-star Maggie Smith. Ballatrix is one of the most loyal and the most vicious members of Lord Voldemort. She is also considered as the second most powerful witch, behind only Voldemort. She is a skilled duelist, and an expert in the Dark Arts and occlumency. She is known for her cruelty, fierce temper, and lack of conscience, even shows no mercy to her family members. She is very intelligent, yet mentally imbalanced. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the Death Eaters have now taken over the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts. She now lives with her younger sister Narcissa at the Malfoy Manor so that she could be closer to Voldemort. She will display her magical prowess in the Skirmish at the Malfoy Manor and the Battle of Hogwarts. The film also stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort. It is the directed by David Yates and the screenplay written by Steve Kloves, based on the seventh and final book by J.K. Rowling. The first part will be shown in theaters on November 19, 2010. | Posted: 15 Oct 2010 08:34 PM PDT Who missed the valiant hero Dobby? He was last seen in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He is voiced by Olivier Award winner and Tony nominated Toby Jones. The British actor has also starred in other critically acclaimed movies like Finding Neverland, Infamous, W., and Frost/Nixon. He is also set to appear on two other high-budget big screen adaptations of The Adventures of Tintin: Search of the Unicorn and Captain America: The First Avenger. A brand new character poster by the house elf Dobby has been released. The banner is ominously labeled Nowhere is Safe. It is part of the ever-growing series of character poster to promote the highly-anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I. Dobby is a house elf who serves the Malfoy family. The Malfoys treat him unfairly and with uttermost cruelty. When he does something agreeable to the members of the family, he is told to perform extra punishments on himself. He has been receiving death threats to often that he even accustomed to them. The house elves are magical creatures who are highly devoted and loyal to their masters. They must follow everything what their owners told them what to do, whether they want to or not. They can perform magic like Apparition and other domestic spells without using a wand, and even without the permission of their master. Dobby, unlike other house selves, has been longing to be freed from his master. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Dobby tried several times to prevent Harry Potter from returning to Hogwarts but all his plans proved to be unsuccessful. He tried to persuade Harry on the Dursley's house not to come back. He also blocked the entrance to Platform 9 ¾. During a Quidditch match, he enchanted a Bludger to chase Harry where his armed was injured. He also knew about Lucius Malfoy's plans to re-open the Chamber of Secrets by using the diary owned by Tom Riddle. Later in the story, Harry tricked Lucius into freeing Dobby. On his return on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Aberforth Dumbledore has sent him to free Harry Potter and the others from the clutches of the Death Eaters.
