Conan O’Brien Beats Out Jay Leno, David Letterman & Everyone Else In Debut Posted: 09 Nov 2010 03:57 PM PST Not that it's much of a shocking result, but Conan O'Brien's brand new late night talk show on TBS, Conan, debuted last night to big results. The show brought in higher ratings than all other late night contenders, including Jay Leno and his Tonight Show, David Letterman and his Late Show, John Stewart's Daily Show, and all others. Conan lured 4.2 million sets of eyeballs (3.3 million in the coveted ages 18-49 demographic) to his new show, while Leno had 3.5 million and Letterman had 3.4 million. Even more interestingly perhaps, is that the median average age of O'Briens viewers was 30 years old, while competition Leno's median age was 59 and Letterman's was 53. It's becoming more and more clear what late night shows the Fox News crowd is into. It's worth keeping in mind that there's been a ton of attention on the drama that unfolded between O'Brien, Leno, and NBC, and after a long summer with a growing fanbase strongly behind Conan, the show's debut was bound to dump big numbers on the late night ratings. Watch Now: Trailer #2 For ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader’ Posted: 09 Nov 2010 02:41 PM PST A second theatrical trailer has been released for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Watch the trailer here below. The first trailer debuted online back in June, but there's been little buzz about the third film in the Narnia film franchise. In the upcoming film, we see the return of Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes), along with two of the four Pevensie children -- Lucy and Edmund -- who are accompanied on this nautical journey with their young cousin Eustace Scrubb. Directed by Michael Apted, this new film is the first of the bunch to be financed by Fox, instead of Disney, which backed the first two movies, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian, for Walden Media. There's a lot of pressure for Dawn Treader to do well, otherwise it's unlikely that further Narnia adaptations will be made (there are seven Narnia books in author C.S. Lewis's novel series). [...]

Watch Now: Final Trailer For ‘Tron Legacy’ Posted: 09 Nov 2010 12:53 PM PST The latest trailer for Disney's upcoming 3D release, Tron Legacy, the sequel to Tron , has finally been released on the internet, and this time, the clues of the teaser begin to move towards giving viewers and fans more of an idea of the story that will unfold in the film. Watch the full trailer here below. Fan feedback across the web, at a glance, seems to be highly positive-- as it should be: the footage contained in this trailer is nothing short of breathtaking and, personally speaking, makes me very excited about seeing this movie. Now, while I do mention breathtaking, bear in mind this trailer is not only full of effects like the last two that had been released; in this teaser, we get more in touch with the two characters played by Jeff Bridges (Kevin Flynn and CLU2 of course) in the film, as well as the other characters. Like most of you, I've been waiting for this sequel for many years, and so far all the teasers seem to indicate this movie might just match (or hopefully exceed) expectations [...]

The Poison frontman and reality television star is scheduled perform a live New Year's Eve concert at Universal's CityWalk in Orlando, FL, part of the Universal Orlando Resort. Tickets are now on sale for the New Year's Eve block party event, which includes the Bret Michaels concert, as well as all-night admission to seven CityWalk clubs, all-you-can-eat gourmet cuisine, and a midnight champagne toast. Universal CityWalk's New Year's Eve celebration will take place from 8pm – 2am on December 31, 2010. Blu-ray Review: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World Posted: 09 Nov 2010 08:49 AM PST Scott Pilgrim Vs The World Blu-ray | DVD Directed by Edgar Wright Starring Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans Universal Studios Home Entertainment Release date: November 9, 2010 The lack of success that Scott Pilgrim Vs the World met at the box office shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, and it has nothing to do with the quality of the movie. It's not shocking that the studio couldn't find a good way to advertise the movie, and it may just be that there was always going to be a small audience for this film. However, this is a film that should not be measured by its box office receipt. It is one of my favorite movies of the year and it is a joy for me to watch every time I see it. So now that Scott Pilgrim Vs the World is out on DVD and Blu-ray, I certainly hope that the film discovers the audience it deserves. Not that I gain anything from it doing well, but I feel that this is a very good film that is a lot of fun, has some fantastic music, and some great performances. Now granted, I am the target market for this Scott Pilgrim Vs the World. I am a fan of the comic book series by Bryan Lee O'Malley, and I am also a fan of director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz). I was very excited when I heard that Wright was going to direct it, as I knew he was a comic book fan and had a great voice for directing comedy and tragedy [...]

Teaser Trailer For ‘Kung Fu Panda 2′ Is Here To See Posted: 09 Nov 2010 07:01 AM PST The very first teaser trailer for Kung Fu Panda 2 is being run in front of DreamWorks Animation's newest movie, Megamind, which just hit theaters this past weekend and took the #1 spot with a $46 million domestic take. The trailer was also released on DreamWorks' official Kung Fu Panda website, and you can see it here and now below! The movie, for as long as its existence has been known, has been called Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom. Now it appears that they've dropped the Kaboom and just gone with the traditional numerical title. This saddens me a bit, as most of the sub-titles we see these days are pretty horrible and The Kaboom of Doom was actually pretty playful and fun. Just the number "2" is boring.
