Lil Wayne: No Alcohol for 3 Years!

Posted: 06 Nov 2010 01:01 AM PDT

After serving eight months at Rikers Island jail, rapper Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. aka Lil Wayne will now do three years of unsupervised probation and 360 hours of community service. Adding some icing to the probation, the court ordered that he must avoid alcohol or any controlled substances!

According to the documents obtained by TMZ, Wayne "may not consume or drink any substance containing alcohol" as long as he's on probation and he is also "prohibited from knowingly associating with any person engaged in criminal activity or any person with a criminal record without prior written approval from the probation department."

Wayne is required to submit to drug and alcohol testing.

It's what we call Freedom with a Twist! One funny thing is, Lil Wayne must first get parents judge's approval before he can go and hangout with some of his friends with criminal record.

Boston Celtics' General Manager Defends Kevin Garnett against the "cancer patient" controversy

Posted: 05 Nov 2010 07:44 PM PDT

Charlie Villanueva of the Detroit Pistons claimed that Kevin Garnett was insensitive using "cancer patient" as insult, which Garnett denies. Boston Celtics' General Manager Danny Ainge came to the rescue defending KG about the said allegations.

During his Boston sports radio station WEEI, Ainge called Villanueva a self-promoter and said his accusations were "ludicrous."
"There's one thing that I know for sure, and it's that KG would not offend cancer patients," Ainge said. "That makes no sense. It makes no sense on a lot of fronts. Not only is he experiencing it in his own family, but that's just not something I've ever heard — in 30 years — ever say, in trash talking. What is logical in a trash talking situation for a player to say to another player, 'You have cancer' or 'You are cancer'?
Garnett answers back Villanueva's claim by releasing a statement: "My comment to Charlie Villanueva was in fact, 'You are cancerous to your team and our league.' I would never be insensitive to the brave struggle that cancer patients endure. I have lost loved ones to this deadly disease and have a family member currently undergoing treatment. I would never say anything that distasteful. The game of life is far bigger than the game of basketball."

It seems Kevin Garnett mistakenly used wrong choice of words. Whatever it is, we must learned how not to become insensitive in certain issues. Ainge also got a point with his explanations.
