'Little Fockers' Wins Box Office

The third installment of the Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro series of in-law comedy "Little Fockers" earned $34 million over the Christmas holiday weekend to capture the no.1 spot while Twentieth Century Fox's "Gulliver's Travels" grossed a slow $7.2 million to come in at the 7th spot domestically.

Making a gross earning impact in the box office is Joel and Ethan Coen's western adventure, "True Grit", opened with a stronger-than-expected $25.6 million and a five-day gross of $36.8 million.

Singer Teena Marie Dies. She was 54.

Grammy nominated R&B singer Teena Marie, known for her hit songs "Lovergirl" and "I'm a Sucker for Your Love," was found dead in her Pasadena home on Sunday (Dec. 26). She was 54.
Her manager Mike Gardner confirmed to CNN the sad news and reportedly, she passed away in her sleep. Teena's body was discovered by her teenage daughter.

While no cause of death has been released, the singer's publicist Lynn Jeter said that Marie suffered a grand mal seizure a month ago.

She was discovered by fellow music legend Rick James in the late '70s. Teena Marie has released 13 albums. Her last studio album is "Congo Square".

One of her last tweet is her Christmas message:
"May Gods Light always shine on you and your family!" she wrote. "May you have the most joyous Holliday season ever! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."
Teena Marie..RIP.

'Mentalist' Simon Baker cheering for $30 million

Extra holiday cheers for Simon Baker as he is now on the final stage for a new $30 million deal with Warner Bros. Television for his services on his CBS drama.

According to deadline, Baker will "add one additional year to his current six-year contract and would get an additional piece of the show's backend". Aside for the profit upgrade, Baker will also get a "producer credit on the show beginning in Season 5".

The Mentalist is currently on its third season.

Hugh Hefner Gets Engaged to Playmate Crystal Harris!

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner still wants the last ride to a married life as he is now engaged to girlfriend/December 2009 Playmate Crystal Harris! He popped the question on Christmas Eve.

Hefner announced via Twitter message early Sunday that he'd given a ring to 24 year-old girlfried, saying:
"When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory."
Clearing things up, the 84 year-old Playboy mogul clarified that ring is not just an ordinary Christmas gift. It is an engagement ring!
Hef tweeted, "Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn't mean to make a mystery out of it. A very merry Christmas to all."
This will be the third marriage for Hefner. He and his second wife, former Playmate Kimberly Conrad separated in 1998 and filed for divorce in 2009. Hef's first ride is with Mildred Williams but decided to divorced in 1959.

60-year difference for Hef, 84, and Crystal, 24. The MAN!

It will be a heart break for Holly Madison. She always wanted from him is marriage but Hefner kept saying he didn't want to get married..

“Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” tops 2010 MMFF Day 1; “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To)” in second

The movie entries for 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival's (MMFF) delivered good opening box-office numbers soaring to P80 million surpassing last year's earnings of P70 million.

The powerhouse combination of Senator Bong Revilla and Vic Sotto via the fantasy action-comedy movie "Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote" tops day 1 (December 25) of MMFF with P31 million. Star Cinema's "Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To)" starring Ai-Ai de las Alas came in second with P20 million. Kris Aquino's horror flick "Dalaw" ranked third with P12.5 million.
