New ‘Thor’ Preview Image Shows Angry God Of Thunder

Posted: 14 Jan 2011 06:47 PM PST

It's not always easy to get excited about new images when a trailer has already been released, but for those of you excited about Thor, director Kenneth Branagh's contribution to the Marvel Studios parade of movies leading up to The Avengers, you might get a kick out of seeing this new image.

The picture shows star Chris Hemsworth, in full Thor gear with hammer in hand, and he doesn't look all that pleased about something. He's angry. Livid, even. Perhaps this comes from the confrontation with his father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins) that we saw in the first trailer, or maybe someone just asked him what time he's heading out trick or treating -- one way or another the God of Thunder wants to strike someone, clearly.

You can see the new image of Thor by heading on over to the other side now! [...]

Ridley Scott’s ‘Alien’ Prequel No More After Evolving Into ‘Prometheus’ From Damon Lindelof Script

Posted: 14 Jan 2011 04:46 PM PST

Some major news on Ridley Scott's much-discussed Alien prequel has come down the pipe -- news that should fetch some interesting reaction from fans who may or may not have been looking forward to another adventure in that world.

After all the things we've been hearing about an Alien prequel, from Sigourney Weaver first talking about a fifth movie back in '08 to first hints that Scott might actually do it. Then the confirmation that the movie was happening with a new director instead of Scott to Scott choosing to do it himself, and that it would be a two-part prequel. Finally, we found out that LOST co-creator Damon Lindelof was re-writing the script, and that Ridley was possibly going to present a storyline that showed the alien creatures from his classic 1979 horror were actually genetically engineered as weapons.

After ALL of that, it sounds like Ridley Scott's Alien prequel might not be a prequel at all, and that the story they've created has evolved into something completely unique. Something called Prometheus. [...]

Watch Now: New ‘Bulletstorm’ Footage; Pre-Order For Chance At ‘Gears Of War 3′ Beta!

Game publisher EA hit the twitterverse the other day to release a new video titled "Last Call" from game designer Epic Games' new game, Bulletstorm. The video is a spoof of the Halo 3 ad titled "Believe," using action figures a la Robot Chicken to show characters from the game.

At first I thought Epic was being tongue-in-cheek, poking fun at the ads they had made for the Gears of War games. Which I thought was weird since they have one more game to go. Then I realized that I've seen that advertising style before, in Halo. Now if they were making fun of Halo with a Gears ad it would make sense. They are both Microsoft Game Studio published games and Xbox exclusives, however Bulletstorm is being released by EA for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. I wonder what Microsoft thinks of all this? Both videos are embedded below for your viewing pleasure. [...]

Disney employee confessions

Last week I wondered, do people who work at Disney theme parks are excited about their jobs or do they end up hating Disney?

I really wanted to know because I'm a great fan of theme parks, especially Disney's, and in my heart I truly hoped that working at a Disney theme park is just as magical as I'd imagine it to be (yes, work is work, but there's no denying that some jobs are more enjoyable than others.)

Now, a former Disney World employee has posted a video with his confessions of what it was like to work at the Orlando theme park. His video comes complete with some real funny stick figure artwork. Definitely check out the 11-minute video here [...]
