Fitness icon Jack LaLanne Dies at 96; his son Jon LaLanne Taking Over the Family Business

Fitness icon Jack LaLanne, who strongly advocates and motivates people to follow a healthy lifestyle, died of respiratory failure due to pneumonia at his home in Morro Bay, California on Sunday afternoon (January 23). He was 96.


Elaine (Jack's wife for 51 years) said that he is more than just a husband.
"I have not only lost my husband and a great American icon, but the best friend and most loving partner anyone could ever hope for."
Jack got three children, two sons, Dan and Jon, and a daughter, Yvonne.

Jack LaLanne's son Jon will continue the fitness legacy of her father and he will take over the family business and become the new spokesperson for his father's company.
Jon LaLanne told TMZ, "Though we are saddened by our father's passing, the overwhelming response from fans and the media has made us all feel he is still with us."
Jon added, "I plan to carry on the family business. I will be alongside my mother Elaine, my wife Lora, my brother Dan and my sister Yvonne touring the country preaching my father's common sense approach to a longer and better life."
Jon LaLanne also has his own surf board company named "LaLa".

Britney Spears “Hold It Against Me” Video (Image Preview)

Pop Princess Britney Spears is currently busy working on a new music video for her new single "Hold It Against Me", she gave her loyal followers via Twitter an image still from the video. 

Britney tweeted, "Day 1 of the HIAM shoot with Jonas. Such an incredible experience. I think this will be one of the best videos I have ever done. -Brit"
As she is surrounded by microphones, Britney's spotlight continues....

"Hold It Against Me" [Listen] is directed by Jonas Akerlund, who worked on Lady GaGa and Beyonce's "Telephone".

Filipina Danica Magpantay named Ford Supermodel of the World 2011

Another Filipino pride! Amazing achievement from Pinay model Danica Flores Magpantay as she took home the 2011 Ford Supermodel of the World title, held in New York City last Saturday, January 22.

The prestigious international modeling event showcase models from over 50 countries in which the primary goal is to discover new talent for the fashion industry. The Ford Supermodel of the World was established by Eileen Ford in 1980.
Lithuania(runner-up), Philippines (winner), Poland (runner-up) twitpic from Ford Model

The 17 year-old winner bagged $250,000 modeling contract with Ford Models. Runner-ups recognition goes to the representatives from Lithuania and Poland.

Danica's Supermodel genes came from her mother Milagros 'Lala' Flores, who was also named Ford Supermodel of the World-Philippines 1980.

Aaron Carter Enters Rehab

Aaron Carter is also battling his demons and he voluntarily entered rehab to treat his addiction.

A source told E! that the 23 year-old singer checked into a private Southern California facility earlier this month and this is his big step to "finally get help". The source added, "He was struggling recently and needed this."

His manager Johnny Wright  confirms the report and he mentions "emotional and spiritual issues" as Aaron's reasons.  Aaron, who appeared on Celebrity Rehab was treated for substance abuse.

Former Wrestler Sid Vicious (Sycho Sid) arrested for Pot

Former WCW and WWF star Sid Vicious, also known as Sid Justice, Millennium Man and Sycho Sid, was arrested and charged for marijuana possession in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday (January 22).


TMZ reports that Sid was initially pulled over by the cops for driving without a seatbelt then they noticed the bag of weed sitting on his armrest. Cops listed 18 grams as the weight of the marijuana confiscated.

Real name Sidney Raymond "Sid" Eudy is now being charged for marijuana possession, not wearing a seatbelt and driving without a license.

He was held and released from jail on $1,000 bail.

Conan O'Brien's Comedy project "Vince Uncensored"

Conan O'Brien will be handling a new project for CBS!

CBS pickup a comedy pilot titled "Vince Uncensored" in which according to Deadline, the 47 year-old Conan host will executive produce. "Vince Uncensored" centers on a man who, after a life-changing experience, decides to take a more honest approach to his life, work and family. S

It will be written by verteran sitcom writer Phoef Sutton.
