Lindsay Lohan Will Be Charged in Jewelry Theft Case Posted: 05 Feb 2011 03:50 PM PST 2011 is supposed to be a fresh start for Lindsay Lohan but the troubled actress is again on the hot seat and reportedly she will be facing felony grand theft charge after allegedly stealing a "high-end necklace" from a jewelry store. According to TMZ, Lindsay will be charged by the L.A. County District Attorney as early as Monday. If convicted, she's facing up to 3 years in a state prison. For Lindsay's defense, she claims "it was loaned to her and a stylist simply forgot to return". LiLo's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley strongly denies the stealing allegations and their prepared to fight the case, saying: "We vehemently deny these allegations and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press." Kamofie & Company presented to the investigators their surveillance video and photos of Lindsay wearing the said "one-of-a-kind necklace" worth $2,500. The jewelry store also reiterated that strict policies and procedures must be done first before receiving a loan jewelry. Lindsay is still on probation and remains subject to random drug and alcohol testing relating to a 2007 DUI. |
Mila Kunis is enchantingly hot in Los Angeles Times magazine Posted: 05 Feb 2011 12:12 AM PST Delighting us with her gorgeous face and enchanting aura is actress Mila Kunis as she graces the the latest issue of Los Angeles Times magazine. The Black Swan actress, who is wearing Georges Hobeika satin cocktail dress, talks about her career, 'Black Swan' role, and many more.. On how easy she got the 'Black Swan' role: "It was the first movie I didn't have to audition for," she recalls. "I was absolutely shocked. But I never questioned Darren about why he cast me. I didn't want him second-guessing it." On her career and currently no other projects lined up right now: "I know people say this all the time, but it's true: I don't ever want to work for the sake of working. I was very lucky to have a show for eight years. Now I can sit back and think about what I want." On doing comedies : "I love doing comedies. They're just as hard, if not harder, to make work, compared with a drama. You work 17 hours a day, and you have to try to make things different and funny and relatable onscreen all at the same time." Friends with Benefits director Will Gluck on Mila: "She's very smart about her movies. Her notes were very un-actorlike: Will this emotion work here; will this reaction work there—not typical minuscule notes about a line or something." Seeing Kunis in 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Director Aronofsky can only say: "I just thought, Who is that girl? So charming and beautiful and sexy and smart and clever. There was so much going on." Lauren Conrad's upcoming MTV reality series Cancelled! Posted: 04 Feb 2011 08:31 PM PST Lauren Conrad's comeback to reality series is being postponed at this moment after her upcoming new MTV reality show failed to impressed the network. MTV exec David Janollari told EW, "We decided not to go ahead with the show. She did do a pilot. There were talks about whether we could somehow manage to put together a special based on that footage but that's also a big question mark based on her interest in that and the finances. We love her! We would love her on our network! It was a great attempt but it just didn't feel like a perfect fit for us now." The former Laguna Beach and The Hills star is definitely not happy with the latest development of her upcoming reality show and now she's firing back by releasing this statement. "We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result. MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life. We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships. We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn't feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it." MTV wants some spice in their reality shows. Very simple, personal issues/relationships will attract more interest. Interest = Viewers = Sponsors... [Photo courtesy by Bauer Griffin] |
