Christina Aguilera explains National Anthem performance (Super Bowl XLV)

Posted: 07 Feb 2011 06:38 PM PST

Christina Aguilera definitely delivered a great vocal performance despite her mistake when she flubbed some of the lines of the "Star-Spangled Banner" during Super Bowl XLV.

Aguilera released a statement about her performance (AP): "I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."

Aguilera's moment of mistake happened on the fourth line of the national anthem. She sang "what so proudly we watched" instead of the right lyrics, "o'er the ramparts we watched." Still she continues her performance like nothing happened. Like a Pro!

Many criticized Aguilera but it is not the end of the world for her. Expect a strong comeback from her.
