Deal: ‘Smallville’ Seasons 1-9 Posted: 04 Mar 2011 07:07 PM PST I'm finally catching up on one of my favorite shows, Smallville. After popping in Season 7 on DVD, which I got on sale a few weeks ago, I went to Amazon to check what the current price was and I noticed that most of the season DVDs are in the $15-$20 range, which is super cheap! This is especially huge, considering they're typically around $60 each and the bundled Smallville Season 1-8 Collection runs for $289.99, which is way more than buying them right now individually. Even the seasons available on Blu-ray are only $27 - $28 each! Smallville Season 1: DVD: $19.49 Smallville Season 2: DVD: $59.98 Smallville Season 3: DVD: $48.49 Smallville Season 4: DVD: $36.49 Smallville Season 5: DVD: $19.49 Smallville Season 6: DVD: $20.49 | Blu-ray $25.99 Smallville Season 7: DVD: $19.99 | Blu-ray $26.99 Smallville Season 8: DVD: $14.99 | Blu-ray $25.99 Smallville Season 9: DVD: $18.99 | Blu-ray $27.49 […] |

Book Review: ‘Badass’ By Ben Thompson Posted: 04 Mar 2011 03:37 PM PST Badass A Relentless Onslaught of the Toughest Warlords, Vikings, Samurai, Pirates, Gunfighters, and Military Commanders to Ever Live Paperback By Ben Thompson Harper Paperbacks 2009 So rare is it that a book grabs my attention, and bitch slaps me while still in the book store. Such was the case with Badass by Ben Thompson. True to its name Badass is a relentless onslaught of the toughest Warlords, Vikings, Samurai, Pirates, Gunfighters, and Military Commanders to ever live. At first I thought there was no way in the name of Zeus' Thundering ass that a book could contain so much "BadassITUDE"! Man was I wrong. Badass grabs you, punches you in the face, and makes you feel as if you should be in the kitchen making IT a sandwich. From the moment I opened this book I was bombarded by quotes from memorable Badass's throughout history. As I continued on, I was met with "The Bone-Crushing Principles of Complete and Utter Badassitude"! This small, 5 step program, will guide you through the 321 pages of ass kicking, without feeling the need to pull over and ask directions [...] |

Michelle Rodriguez Says ‘Avatar 2′ Will Take Place Underwater Posted: 04 Mar 2011 11:44 AM PST In an interview with the Associated Press, actress Michelle Rodriguez, who's out promoting her new film, Battle: Los Angeles, had some things to say about the sequel to the biggest movie ever made: Avatar 2. In the interview, Rodriguez stated that the massive follow-up to 2009's Avatar -- which brought in almost $3 billion worldwide at the box office -- would be heading underwater. She didn't make it clear whether the entire film would be set in this environment or if would be a partial location, but she did make it clear that it is going to be "extraordinarily beautiful." The actress admits she's not sure if director James Cameron will be offering her a role in the film yet, but she still hopes to at least visit and watch the blockbuster being made. I have to think this would be amazing, personally. Everyone knows how well Cameron does water, and his previous works like The Abyss and Aliens of the Deep would lead us to believe that a movie on scale with Avatar set underwater would be stunning to see. Another Fantastic Trailer For HBO’s ‘Game Of Thrones’ & An Invitation To Westeros Posted: 04 Mar 2011 09:46 AM PST HBO has released another trailer for their upcoming fantasy series, Game of Thrones. The new trailer, same as all others we've seen so far, is wonderful. HBO has also released a mini featurette video called Invitation to Westeros, which will introduce you to the world, its seasons, and its people. The show is based on author George R.R. Martin's popular book series, "A Song of Ice and Fire," with the first season based on book one: A Game of Thrones. Any additional seasons that HBO orders will each be based on the next book in the series. The story follows a struggle for power between multiple families as they try to take control of the Iron Throne. You can see both the new trailer and the Invitation to Westeros video from HBO's Game of Thrones by clicking on over to the other side now! The first video is the new trailer, but be warned: the quality is pretty low, and you can see a much better version by heading to EW. [...] |

Cohen, Alan Freedland STARRING: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galafianakis, Michelle Monaghan, Jamie Foxx, Danny McBride, RZA, Juliette Lewis Warner Home Video RELEASE DATE: February 22, 2011 Have you ever had to share an inordinate amount of time with a complete and total stranger? It rarely leads to a lifelong friendship, and more often than not it can become one of the more uncomfortable situations you can find yourself in. Just such a situation develops in Due Date, the new comedy from Old School and The Hangover director Todd Phillips. The movie follows Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.), who's on his way home to be there for the birth of his first child. Fate has other plans for Peter, however, when a couple of chance encounters with an awkward aspiring actor named Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis) sees him put on the no-fly list. To make up for the incident, Ethan offers to share his rental car with Peter, and off the two strangers go. Before long, Peter grows impatient with Ethan and realizes the strange man is simply insufferable. He attempts to ditch him a couple of times, but an unexplainable feeling of guilt for the pathetic Ethan and his little dog keeps Peter coming back...and keeps getting him into ridiculous and hilarious trouble.
