Check out the theatrical trailer for the interestingly intriguing sci-fi drama "Melancholia" starring Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland, Alexander Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling and John Hurt.

Justine (Kirsten Dunst) and Michael (Alexander Skarsgard) are celebrating their marriage at a sumptuous party in the home of her sister Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg), and brother-in-law John (Kiefer Sutherland). Despite Claire's best efforts, the wedding is a fiasco, with family tensions mounting and relationships fraying. Meanwhile, a planet called Melancholia is heading directly towards Earth.

This psychological disaster is written and directed by Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier, who became more controversial at the 64th Cannes Film Festival over his Nazi comments. The cinematography was handled by Manuel Alberto Claro.

Dunst received the Cannes Film Festival's Best Actress Award for her performance.

The film arrives on VOD in the US October 7th, and and will hit theaters on November 11th.
