Watch These 8-Year-Olds Play Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’ Posted: 09 Oct 2011 12:14 PM PDT You see kids on these competitive singing and dancing shows all the time and yeah, there's some talent there, but let me tell you, this video of a group of 8-year-olds playing Metallica's "Enter Sandman" will blow all others away. Check out this video here below of The Mini Band playing the Metallica song at the Bucklebury Beer Festival. When I saw the story on this, I figured there's no way a group of 8- to 10-year-olds (the drummer and bassist are both 10; the rest are 8) could pull off a Metallica song -- NO WAY! Well, guess what? Not only do they pull it off, but they rock it so awesomely, all with an adorable little girl on lead guitar!!! [...] |
EW Reunites Casts Of ‘Aliens’, ‘Fatal Attraction’, ‘The Princess Bride’ & ‘Office Space’ Posted: 09 Oct 2011 10:49 AM PDT For it's annual Cast Reunions issue Entertainment Weekly has once again assembled the stars of several notable films and television series for retrospective portraits. The magazine has also posted videos from four of the photo shoots on its website: The Princess Bride; Aliens; Fatal Attraction; and Office Space. One thing that struck me as odd was Cary Elwes' lack of a British accent in his interview for the Princess Bride shoot. Is he going Christian Bale on us? [...] |
Posted: 09 Oct 2011 09:58 AM PDT Real Steel Directed by Shawn Levy Starring Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly, Dakota Goya Release Date: October 7, 2011 Let's clear the air right now, readers. Real Steel is on the surface an homage to the popular kids' game Rock'em Sock'em Robots. It is hard to dispute that fact and I don't think that the creators can even deny that there are similarities. What you don't notice is that under the metal exterior lies a rather human story. Real Steel's focuses on Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman), an ex-boxer down on his luck. Once, he went toe to toe with the champ, but as the world changed, so did boxing. Now, only robots compete in the squared circle, but even Charlie's robot can't cut a break. Things go from bad to worse when his ex-girlfriend passes away leaving him to care for his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo). Charlie wants nothing to do with the kid and only takes him in exchange for some cash, but eventually he warms to the kid and fights to keep him [...] |
