This deal is valid only for today, Wednesday, November 16, 2011, until 11:59 PST. Once you activate the rental through Amazon's Instant Demand service, you'll have access to the movie for 48 hours. | Drew Struzan Original ‘Police Academy’ Poster Art Going For 40K Posted: 15 Nov 2011 05:00 PM PST  Drew Struzan is retired now, and it's doubtful we'll ever see his like again, not in this universe. Struzan is by far one of the greatest movie poster artists the industry produced; he has created the posters for the Indiana Jones series, the 1997 Star Wars Special Edition re-releases, the Back to the Future trilogy, the 1982 version of The Thing, and other cherished films too numerous to count. He also designed the poster art for three of the Police Academy movies, and now a large selection of Struzan's original acrylic paintings are being sold for big bucks at the artist's website [...]      |

Supergods is not a perfect book, but hardly anything is. It poses a bit as a textbook on the history of comic books from the presentation of the work itself including chapter titles, index, and sections. The first few chapters covering the golden age are told mostly as historical information that helps the writer truly learn more about comics and the creation of characters like Superman and Batman. There are a couple of opinionated interjections within these chapters, but most are commonly accepted in the industry as fact. So, that's perfectly acceptable. You start to realize, however, that this is not a book about the history of comics as much as it is about Grant Morrison's history with comics. Matt Frank and Jeff Prezenkowski have crafted a great monster book in Godzilla Legends #1; in just one issue they manage to tell a completely self-contained story all while packing it full of Kaiju mayhem. If you wanted something that left you pondering the intricacies of human existence you may want to look elsewhere; however, if you are in the market for giant lizards and space monsters crushing cities while locked in combat, then Godzilla Legends #1 is the book for you [...]      |
