The digital rental deal of the day over at Amazon today is the Edgar Wright-produced alien invasion movie Attack The Block for only $.99.

This deal is valid only for today, Wednesday, November 23, 2011, until 11:59 PST. Once you activate the rental through Amazon's Instant Demand service, you'll have access to the movie for 24 hours. If you're interested in purchasing the digital version, the cost is $12.99.

Empire has an inside look at several details of the upcoming film The Dark Knight Rises, with exclusive interviews with director Christopher Nolan and actors Tom Hardy and Christian Bale, as well as costume designer Lindy Hemming. There's loads of interesting information, some of which has led me to believe that The Dark Knight Rises will be based on the Batman: Knightfall comic book storyline (see full Bat-Analysis here below).

In the interview, Hardy describes Bane's fighting style as "brutal" and goes on to say that Bane's primary goal is not to fight, but to maim and destroy. But some of the most interesting info on Bane comes from Hemming [...]

The Tomb Raider reboot that entered development not long ago has yet to evolve beyond the embryonic stage, but recently producer Graham King (The Departed) discussed the likely direction the new film will likely be taking with in an interview with Coming Soon.

According to King, the new Tomb Raider adventure being scripted by the Children of Men and Iron Man screenwriting team of Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby will follow the current trend of reviving franchises by exploring the origins of the Lara Croft character, previously played in two films by Angelina Jolie [...]
