Walt Disney Pictures really, really wants you to see John Carter, the movie they've been marketing rather poorly up until recently. In fact, the studio is so desperate to gets butts in seats for this big flick that they're making a 10-minute clip from the movie's opening available online absolutely FREE!

All I can say after watching this clip is, "Hot damn." There is infinitely more humor, adventure, and tension in this clip than in the entirety of recent sci-fi tentpole releases like Cowboys & Aliens and Tron: Legacy [...]

There was a sketch on last night's Saturday Night Live called The Real Housewives Of Disney that gave us a glimpse into the not-so-happily-married lives of the Disney princesses.

The show's host Lindsay Lohan played Rapunzel from Tangled, along with Snow White, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Jasmine from Aladdin, and Kristin Wiig as an alcoholic Cinderella.

The sixth video production blog from The Hobbit has been released and you can watch it here below.

Now that filming at the Hobbiton set has wrapped director Peter Jackson and his hale and hearty cast and crew have taken the production to even more scenic locales in New Zealand, which has no shortage of gorgeous scenery. Andy Serkis, obviously returning as Gollum, is also enjoying his new job on the shoot as second unit director and gets to go up in a helicopter to film scenic footage... in 3D! [...]

Rock Guitarist Ronnie Montrose Has Died

Ronnie Montrose, guitarist and founder of the rock band Montrose, died on Saturday, March 3, 2012, after a five-year battle with prostate cancer. He was 64.

The news of his death was announced on the Ronnie Montrose official website. You can read the official statement here below.

The band Montrose is best know for its time with former frontman Sammy Hagar, who went on to achieve great fame and fortune with Van Halen. Hagar wrote a lot about his years in Montrose and his relationship with Ronnie Montrose in his autobiography Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock. With Hagar, who appeared on the first two albums - Montrose and Paper Money, the band had its greatest success with songs like "Rock Candy," "Rock The Nation," and "Bad Motor Scooter." [...]
