If there is trouble to get into, Harry Dresden will find it. This month in Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files: Fool Moon #5, Harry most certainly manages to get caught right in the middle... as usual. One of the key action parts of this storyline (yes, it's based on a book that I freaking LOVED!) takes place in this issue and Chicago's only practicing wizard finds himself between a rock (not "The Rock," as in Alcatraz, though the reference was intended) and a werewolf. Well, he tangles with a loup-garou at a police station, anyway [...]

Peter Molyneaux Leaves Lionhead Studios For New Venture; What’s It Mean For ‘Fable 4′?

Posted: 08 Mar 2012 01:00 PM PST

Fable III

Almost anyone who follows video games will know the name Peter Molyneaux. The British video game designer and programmer founded Lionhead Studios, the creator of the massive Fable franchise, and he developed quite the reputation for over-exalting upcoming games and promising the moon and the stars even when the final product didn't end meeting expectations.

Whether the man just wanted to do or say whatever it took to sell a game or if he simply had a childlike passion that led to his exaggerations is not clear, but you can't deny that when he talked about his games, he made you as excited as he seemed to be about them. [...]

So, there's two things going on here: DC Comics has split their Vertigo Comics imprint from the main DC Comics app to give all of the Vertigo titles a digital home. That's right! New comics like Fairest, Saucer County, Domique Laveau: Voodoo Child and The New Deadwardians will all be going day and date digital, while established books like The Invisibles, American Vampire, The Unwritten, Fables and many, many more will also be making their way to the Vertigo-only app. Which is pretty cool. Watch Now: ‘The Avengers’ German Trailer Features New Footage…In German

Posted: 08 Mar 2012 08:01 AM PST

The Avengers

A new German trailer for The Avengers featuring a few bits of new footage has popped up online this week. You can watch it here below.

It's not much different than the domestic theatrical trailer that premiered last week, but we do get a pair of brief but amusing exchanges between Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans), including a Whedon-esque dig at Cap's wardrobe that reminded me of Cyclops' line from the first X-Men: "What would you prefer yellow spandex?" [...]

Behold The GuiTARdis – The Doctor Who TARDIS Guitar That Rocks!

The GuiTARdis, acoustic model

As a life-long lover of all things Luthier, as well as all things Whovian, I believe I just discovered exactly who I'm going to see when I am ready for my next guitar.

Arthur Yet Lew.

Our magnificent mate Craig Hurle, who runs the Doctor Who and the Tardis community page, pointed us toward this awesome homebrew The Doctor Who Tardis Guitar, aka the GuiTARdis, acoustic guitar that Lew crafted. I then spent a good hour drooling over it whilst imagining all the gigs I would crash throughout space and time... Hendrix at Monterey; Crosby, Stills & Nash at Woodstock; Queen at Live Aid; The Beatles at Shea Stadium.... what, with with the power of the TARDIS at my very fingertips [...]
