WonderCon 2012: New Footage Revealed For ‘Snow White and The Huntsman’

The Snow White and the Huntsman panel at WonderCon 2012 on Saturday began with E! movie personality Ben Lyons introducing director Rupert Sanders and actresses Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron.

Sanders began with an explanation as to how he managed to stay true to the original material of Snow White, saying he wanted to maintain the authenticity of the original while bringing it to a new and contemporary audience.

Stewart, who plays Snow White, when asked what portion of the film she was most proud of said that she was impressed with how delicately Sanders handled the entire process as a director [...]

Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt made an appearance today at the WonderCon 2012 panel his upcoming sci-fi/action flick Looper, directed by Rian Johnson.

In the film, Gordon-Levitt's character is a "looper," a time-traveling hit man, and he plays a younger version of Bruce Willis's character.

The actor posted two photos today at are a first look at his character: one in which he looks as he normally does (see image above); the other where he's the younger version of Willis (see that here below) [...]

The Battleship panel at WonderCon 2012 today featured director Peter Berg, actor Alexander Skarsgard, and actress Brooklyn Decker. Berg began by explaining how his childhood revolved around the Navy, giving him the passion for helming a naval film.

Berg also explained that even thought at first Battleship may seem like a ridiculous concept for a film, this movie encompasses the brutality that the board game can bring. Berg expressed that, "When I say hit, I try to kill you as brutally and quickly and mercilessly as possible... that is good DNA for a movie."

Berg introduced the first clip for Battleship saying, "At its core it is suppose to be a big rousing piece of Summer popcorn madness." [...]

The Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter panel at WonderCon 2012 today began with a mock video featuring a mummified skeleton as producer Tim Burton doing a video remote from London, lying at death's door in a hospital with a couple of buxom nurses and famed health and wellness specialist Dr. Andrew Weil. He wished he could be there, thanked the crew, and then promptly died.

Writer Seth Grahame-Smith came out and introduced director Timur Bekmambetov and Abraham Lincoln actor Benjamin Walker. At the panel, a sequence from the climax of the film was screened [...]

Earlier in the week, a teaser was released for the full trailer for Ridley Scott's Prometheus, with a screening of it planned for today at a special invitation-only premiere at Downtown Disney's AMC Theaters in Anaheim, CA.

While the post-screening Q&A with the film's screenwriter Damon Lindelof was underway, AMC released the Prometheus full theatrical trailer online.

The Prometheus panel at WonderCon 2012 today began as writer Damon Lindelof (Lost) came out and told a story about sneaking to his TV as a young kid to see Ridley Scott's Alien for the first time on HBO, much to the annoyance of his father, and how it changed his life. He then introduced Prometheus director Sir Ridley Scott. Scott said the origin for Prometheus came from wanting to get back to directing serious science fiction again, and thinking there were unexplored germs of ideas in both Alien and Blade Runner to expand on.

Damon then introduced stars Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender. Theron and Fassbender were both called by Ridley and each given two hours to read the highly guarded script and asked if they'd want to join the production. Theron had to tell friends it was a romcom in order to hide the details of the script from curious friends [...]
