‘Transformers’ Star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Cast In ‘Mad Max: Road Fury’

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley might not be a name you would associate with stopping the Decepticons from conquering the Earth, but she did. It's been almost a year since we've seen the Victoria Secret model make her big screen debut in what was suppose to be Michael Bay's final Transformer's film, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. Apparently she caught the eye of a few filmmakers, particularly the eye of George Miller.

It seems obvious that Miller sees something that I don't, as he has cast the young actress for a role in the new Mad Max movie – Mad Max: Fury Road [...]

New Synopsis For Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Elysium’

Neill Blompkamp

Elysium, Neill Blomkamp's follow-up to District 9, has been under development for quite some time. Heavy security stopped anyone from taking photos on the set and prevented us from getting an early look at what the film contains.

Earlier this year, an official photo debuted featuring District 9 star Sharlto Copley in a space suit. We also learned that the film will be set on another planet and combine sociopolitical ideas and action.

Now comes word that an early screening of Elysium was held. But for those (including myself) who could not attend the event, we were treated to an updated synopsis of the film. It pretty much clarifies what sociopolitical ideas we will be seeing in the film. Thanks to Collider providing the new synopsis for Elysium [...]

Jonah Hill Returns For A Mysterious Role In Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’

Posted: 16 Jun 2012 11:00 AM PDT

Jonah Hill

Jonah Hill once was considered a funny man, having been in films like Superbad and Knocked Up, but now the actor has taken a shift in his career, appearing in films like Moneyball. He will continue that shift by returning to the set of Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained.

Hill was originally attached to appear in the film, but had obligations for another project. Now that his schedule is clear, Deadline is reporting that he is coming back to shoot a role in the film, just not the one he was originally set up for [...]

Fox’s Unconventional Marketing Campaign For Ang Lee’s ‘Life Of Pi’

Life of Pi Header

Last week we reported that exclusive scenes from Ang Lee's Life of Pi were been shown in front of 3D showings for Fox movies. Prometheus was the first, and more scenes will be shown when Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter hits theaters later this month. Now I am kind of upset at myself for not watching Prometheus in 3D.

It's a new strategy for the studio to get audiences interested in the movie. They haven't even shown a teaser trailer yet. I haven't heard any reactions to these clips so I can't make any real judgments. Perhaps it's because the audience didn't know what Life of Pi is to begin with.

But as Fox continues to push this new way to market the film, the studio has released a very brief clip from Life of Pi. Check it out below [...]

Michael Bay’s ‘Ninja Turtles’ Delayed Until 2014

Ninja Turtles

Paramount has been feeling a considerable amount of pressure lately. The studio had to reschedule G.I. Joe: Retaliation weeks before its release to March 2013 because they wanted to "add 3D effects" to the film. Then came word that World War Z was to undergo 6 to 7 weeks worth of reshoots, and that Prometheus scribe Damon Lindelof was brought in to work on the third act of the film.

And if that wasn't enough for Paramount, there is now word that production has been halted on Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles film and that it's being delayed until May 2014 [...]
