BioShock Infinite Image

We've been waiting for Irrational Games' BioShock Infinite for a long, long, long time. But so long as there's not another delay, we'll finally get to hang out in the world of Columbia come this February.

A brand new trailer for the game has been released, and it's titled "Beast of America." It's basically just a collection of new shots from the game, set to a song of the same name.

Because we've been waiting so long it's hard to still get excited from a trailer, but still, it's worth watching. And the very beginning of it looks awful familiar, though that could just be coincidence. [...]

James Cameron Acquires Film Rights To Taylor Stevens’ ‘The Informationist’

James Cameron

Battle Angel fans won't be happy with what James Cameron could possibly direct after the Avatar sequels. Despite some of the difficulties that he has experienced writing the Avatar sequels, Cameron has just purchased the rights to Taylor Stevens' The Informationist. THR was the first to report on Cameron's latest acquisition, but without actually knowing which direction Cameron is headed towards after the Avatar sequels, it will be hard to know if he will direct Battle Angel first or if he will direct The Informationist first.

Check out a short synopsis of Stevens' series of novels and a couple of quotes from the press release below [...]

Hoax Hunters #4 is just like the previous three issues. A good, solid, mystery/horror comic that's never over the top and never relies on gross-out, over the top violence.

Writers Michael Moreci and Steve Seeley turn up the heat with this issue. There's a lot of never before revealed mystery of the group's past, along with the usual fun mystery-solving adventure. This issue, we get to finally delve deeper into the back story of one member of the group, setting up some potentially great story revelations for future issues. Not to be outdone, the main story is a whole lot of fun. It's a great adventure where we get to see the WHOLE group working together and you get the feeling that for the first time, they're truly a team. Overall, another great issue from the writing team. It's got a fantastic last page shocker, that'll have you waiting for the next issue. [...]

Evil Dead Remake Header

Teasing the teaser trailer is a very common practice made by the studios. But the teaser for The Evil Dead remake doesn't really fit into that category; it's more like an announcement trailer that a teaser is coming tomorrow. That's right, after being met with a joyous round of applause earlier this month at New York Comic-Con, the first teaser trailer for The Evil Dead remake hits the web tomorrow.

Check out the video below and be sure to be ready for an Evil Dead remake that you probably would have never seen coming [...]

Django Unchained Header

The films coming out in November and December almost feel like it's summer all over again, and that's a good thing. Wreck-It Ralph, Skyfall, Flight, The ABCs of Death, Twilight, Life Of Pi, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Zero Dark Thirty, and Les Miserables are all coming out within the next two months. Some of those are guaranteed to be blockbuster hits, while others are gunning for some awards.

But the one film that could possibly do both is Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained. A new trailer has appeared online, and while we already know the gist of the film, it's still nice to see some new footage.

Check out the trailer here below [...]

Eight more days 'til Halloween,
Halloween, Halloween.
Eight more days 'til Halloween,
Silver Shamrock.

One night in an unnamed Northern California town a rather frightened individual named Harry Grimbridge (Al Berry) is being chased by a group of mysterious men in business suits. After eluding them in an auto junkyard, Harry passes out in a gas station. An attendant brings him to the local hospital where Harry mutters, "They're coming to kill us all." Looking over their newest patient is Dr. Dan Challis (Tom Atkins, my real father - hey a guy can dream, can't he?), the hospital's resident boozing swinging dick. While handsome Doctor Dan is distracted one of those fine business suit-wearing psychopaths slips in and crushes Harry's skull with his bare hands! Then he gets into his car and sets himself on fire, much to the shock of everyone watching, including the puzzled Doctor Dan.

The next day Harry's daughter Ellie (Stacey Nelkin) arrives from Los Angeles to identify his body. The death of her father inspires Ellie to do some investigating and her research leads her to Silver Shamrock, a company that specializes in making Halloween masks that have become the year's big seller. Apparently her father ran a toy store that did business with Silver Shamrock and he was gripping one of their masks the night he was brought into the hospital. Ellie decides to travel to Silver Shamrock's headquarters in the sleepy town of Santa Mira and get some answers, but she needs the help of our hero Doctor Dan. He reluctantly agrees to take her there and once they have arrived our intrepid duo find Santa Mira to be a little strange and uncomfortable. For one thing, the entire town is under surveillance. The town's citizens, all of whom either love the Silver Shamrock company or live in fear of it, are very suspicious of the new arrivals. In addition to Doctor Dan and Ellie, other visitors to Santa Mira include another toy store owner with a beef against the company and a toy salesman and his family who have been invited to the factory for a meeting with Silver Shamrock's elusive owner Conal Cochran (Dan O'Herlihy). It's not long before Doctor Dan and Ellie discover that Cochran has devised a insidious plot to kill every child in the country with the Silver Shamrock masks. Can our heroes stop his evil plans in time? Are they too late? [...]

Has Frank Grillo Tested For Villain Role In ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier?’

Frank Grillo Tested For Crossbones

Being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a pretty big deal. Almost everyone who is involved in one brings something unique to the roles they play. Tom Hiddleston did it for Thor and The Avengers, and Hugo Weaving – despite what he may have said about returning to reprise his role – did it for Captain America: The First Avenger.

With Ben Kingsley taking on the villain role for Iron Man 3 (check out the new trailer here), and Christopher Eccleston playing the villain in Thor: The Dark World, a new actor has emerged to possibly face off against Cap in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Except, he might not play as the titular villain. Check out who he might play below. [...]
