On how working out is addictive:

“Sometimes you just don’t want to do it, let’s keep it real – but when you do go to the gym, you feel on top of the world. If you stay at it, then it becomes addictive because it’s a natural high. You’re not only getting stronger physically but your mind and spirit are getting stronger. I just find it really uplifting.

“If I’m training four times a week, that’s good. I’m really into SoulCycle, which is spinning in the dark, and yoga. I’m a runner. I try to go to the gym to do the cross-trainer and other things but I’ll always end up running because I can zone out with my music.”

A while back, Joan Rivers made more than a few jokes that targeted Adele’s weight – check out our post here! And even though Joan was criticized for her cruel jokes, the 79 year-old star claims they were ‘not mean’. From Daily Mail:

Huff Post Live host Marc Lamont Hill stepped up in Adele’s defense to say that the comment was ‘mean,’ but that didn’t stop Joan from taking a chuckle and reviving her diatribe.

‘It’s not mean!’ she defended. ‘She’s a chubby lady who’s very, very rich, and she should just calm down – or lose weight!’ she said.

Joan said that after the comment Adele’s team called her to ask for an apology, but the comedienne had her own thought about that.

Joking aside, the petite funnywoman still has praise for the Rolling in the Deep singer.

‘Adele is beautiful and successful,’ she said, ‘but let’s face reality: she’s fat.’

On her current diet and how she avoids temptations:

Right now, I have to really know the difference between what I need and what I want.

I used to eat salads at lunch, and then I'd have chicken and pasta for dinner, but now it's the opposite. I'll have a salad with grilled chicken for lunch and then just a plain salad for dinner.

Last night I was putting little Hank to bed and I knew I had Oreos in my cabinet downstairs. I'm about to head downstairs but it was dark. We had turned off all the lights. I said to myself, 'Do I really need this Oreo? Do I need it enough to go downstairs, turn on all the lights, reach into the cabinet? No, I don't need it.'
