Production on the much-buzzed HBO adaptation of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series only just began this month with a debut set for some time in 2011. That wait will be excruciating for we who are dying to see what the ten-episode fantasy series will look like, but thankfully we shall not wait blindly.

HBO has just released the very first teaser trailer and image for the series, called Game of Thrones. It will be based on the first book in the series, and if all goes well (as it better) each new season will be based on another of the series' seven eventual titles.

Head on over to the other side as quickly as possible to watch this bad boy. Click the image above to check out the first image as well!

Game of Thrones stars Sean Bean, Peter Dinklage, and Lena Headey among many others. [...]

Reminder: ‘True Blood’ Season 3 Premiere On HBO

Posted: 13 Jun 2010 05:47 PM PDT

Far away from Forks, Washington in the quaint little Bayou town of Bon Temps, Louisiana is where vampire fiction for a mature audience takes place -- True Blood produced by Alan Ball (American Beauty, Six Feet Under) , which will make its season 3 premiere tonight.

Season two ended with the gang defeating the god-like Maynard beast -- otherwise known as Maryann -- who was thwarted by shape-shifter Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) during her ultimate bestial sacrifice.

This season begins with Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) turning to Eric for help in finding her 173-year-old boyfriend Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) who vanished after proposing to her.

True Blood Season 3, Episode 1 "Bad Blood" airs June 13 at 9 pm EST (8 pm CST) on HBO. Check out the official trailer below and remember to set those TiVo boxes or DVRs [...]

DCU Online: E3 Sizzle Teaser Trailer

Posted: 13 Jun 2010 04:15 PM PDT

DCU Online posted a brand new teaser trailer on their Facebook page Saturday that will be featured at the upcoming E3 conference.

This new trailer focuses on a fan not having the experiences of "being born on Krypton" or "inheriting a fortune," but having the desire to be in that universe. And with the Fall release of DCU Online's MMORPG, fans and gamers will have the experience to do just that.

This trailer is the first real teaser that we have seen from the company regarding games, but it complements the previous character and territory spotlights including the recent video of Suicide Slums. More information is expected at this month's E3 conference, so expect to see more from us in the near future.

This game is set to release this November courtesy of WB Games, DC Entertainment, and Sony Online Entertainment, and if anyone is interested, my PSN name is MK2Fac3, and I'll be in Gotham City when this game is released, so come find me [...]

Would You Prefer Kick-Ass Or Chekov For Spider-Man?

Posted: 13 Jun 2010 01:13 PM PDT

Marvel movies certainly have been big news lately. With all the hub bub around the Captain America, Avengers, and Thor movies, you might forget there's a reboot of the Spider-Man series coming out in 2012. You may recall Percy Jackson star Logan Lerman was the early rumor but since then a number of Hollywood's freshest young faces have been linked to the role of Peter Parker.

As we previously reported, Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson was recently spotted on the set of director Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class, but the latest internet rumor has him up for Sony's Spider-Man reboot.

Johnson joins the already robust list of actors up for the part including Jamie Bell, Frank Dillane, Alden Ehrenreich, Andrew Garfield and Josh Hutcherson.

Also new to the list is Anton Yelchin, the 21-year-old who made a big impact in last year's Star Trek and Termination Salvation [...]

Movie Review: Ondine

Ondine- ***
Directed by Neil Jordan
Starring Collin Farrell, Alicja Bachleda, Alison Barry
Release date: June 5, 2010

A wearisome fisherman just happens to come across a lady in the water by way of his fishing net, and no, this is not a remake of the M. Night Shyamalan film Lady in the Water. Neil Jordan directs Ondine as if he is trying to perceive a bygone vision, almost as if he is harkening back to a great Greek mythology for his framework. Perhaps he is, and that is what makes his newest film resonate emotionally. The first hour convulses magnificently with a unique and innocent idyllic romance mixed with a beautiful bombardment of lyrical imagery. While the latter part of the film plays out rambunctiously, offering up a series of important events that cascade abruptly without us fully realizing what has occurred.

Jordan weds both fantastical and realistic elements to create a celebrant vision of a man who is still contaminated by his unfruitful and impure past. His name is Syracuse (Collin Farrell in a subdued performance in which he still maintains his effortless charisma), and he seems to be immune to luck but then has his senses enlightened by his discovery of this mysterious woman who says her name is Ondine (Alicja Bachleda). He has reservations about her -- can she possibly be a mermaid? She carries with her the ability to leave an indelible mark on Syracuse, but the platform of her standing, her existence, is accompanied by intense ambiguity [...]
