Meryl Streep to play Margaret Thatcher in biopic movie "Iron Lady"

Award winning actress Meryl Streep is eying to play the role of Margaret Thatcher in a biopic movie titled "Iron Lady". Thatcher is Britain's first female prime minister.

According to THR, "The film is set in 1982 and tracks Thatcher as she tries to save her career in the 17 days preceding the 1982 Falklands War. The 2 1/2-month war was a turning point for the prime minister, who, after the victory, saw her approval ratings double and went on to win a second term."

This film is about the power and dedication of a woman who clashed the barriers in a male-dominated world.

Meryl Streep will be working again with her "Mamma Mia!" director Phyllida Lloyd.

Fernando Flores accusing Britney Spears of Child Abuse

After accusing Britney Spears of sexual harassment, former bodyguard Fernando Flores is now accusing the pop star of child abuse. Flores contacted the LA County Department of Children and Family Services and claimed that Britney abuse her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Flores told the authorities that Britney whipped one of her sons with a belt and abused both of them. Child services investigated this case and determined the claim had no merit.
A source close to Britney and her family tells TMZ, "The allegations made by Fernando Flores are absurd." The source adds, "Flores was never an employee of Britney. He was never an employee of the Spears family. He worked part-time for a security company."
This guy is just seeing a big dollar sign in Britney's forehead. He is just an opportunist.

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" breaks Midnight Box Office Record

The Twilight franchise continues to deliver record achievement as the new installment "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" raked in more than $30 million from the midnight screenings surpassing the midnight box office record of "New Moon" which made $26.3 million.

Eclipse opened in over 4,000 U.S. locations and will expand to 4,437 locations today. It is also expecting a big box office generation with the Fourth of July weekend, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." got the five-day record last year.

Playboy rep. denies offering Vienna Girardi

Vienna Girardi is singing the tune of freedom after her breakup with ex-fiancee Jake Pavelka and the best way to celebrate it is to strip down for Playboy but her announcement that she's going to be on the cover of Playboy is a big surprised to the Playboy people.

Vienna tells Star exclusively, "I am going to be on the cover of Playboy later this year."

She is hoping she'll score $250,000 for the sexy spread.

Playboy rep. denies the report via USMag, "This is the first we've heard of Vienna Girardi appearing on the cover of Playboy." and added "We are not in negotiations with her and have not made her an offer."

If Vienna Girardi is not telling the truth, it seems she's now starting to learn the world of publicity to remain relevant. Maybe next time a sex tape issue for her....

Wedding bells for Avatar star Zoe Saldana as she is now engaged to her longtime boyfriend of 10 years, My Fashion Database CEO Keith Britton.

Zoe wants the privacy of her relationship,. An insider said, "She doesn't even introduce him as her fiancé. She will just say, 'This is Keith.' She likes to keep her personal life to herself and wants people to focus on her as an actress."

The newly engaged has not set wedding date yet.

DC Comics Wonder Woman got a New Modern Look (Photo)

DC Comics decided to give superheroine Wonder Woman a stylish-chic extreme makeover after wearing her patriotic star-spangled outfit for almost 70 years (debuted 1941). The new Wonder Woman costume unveiled in the 600th issue of Wonder Woman Comics.

The new makeover is now in full suit outfit – a studded denim jacket, dark pants-leggings, MMA-styled arm bands, boots and she's keeping her tiara.

Old fans are surely disappointed as DC takes away the iconic sexy look but this character might appeal to the younger audience.

What do you think on this less revealing conservative look ?

MMFF Selection Committee has released the eight entries for the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival which was revealed at Club Filipino in Greenhills (June 29).

The 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival-Philippines starts from the 25th of December to the first week of January, focuses on locally-produced films.

Sandara Park is looking for Best Boyfriend

Actress/2NE1 member Sandara Park recently posted up a photo on me2day of herself holding up a trophy with a label "Hollywood Best Boyfriend."

She also wrote, "Who will receive this trophy? Who? I'm looking for the owner of this trophy."

BTW, me2day is the Korea's version of Twitter-like service and it offers 150 characters.
