First Teaser Trailer For Danny Boyle’s ‘127 Hours’ Released Posted: 24 Aug 2010 07:10 PM PDT The first teaser trailer for Danny Boyle's follow-up to his Best Picture Academy Award winning Slumdog Millionaire has been released by Fox Searchlight. The movie, titled 127 Hours, tells the true story of a mountain climber who finds himself fighting to survive a seemingly impossible situation while reflecting on the life he has lived and the people he has met. True story survival films such as Cast Away and Alive have always been incredibly compelling, and we've seen life reflection in the face of death stories in movies like Ladder 49, so just such a story as told by Mr. Boyle should be really fantastic. Be sure to click on over to the other side to check out the trailer now! 127 Hours stars James Franco in the lead role, as well as Kate Mara (Iron Man 2), Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia), Kate Burton (Remember Me), Lizzy Caplan (True Blood), and Clemence Poesy (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire). Dustin Hoffman Makes Last-Minute Return For ‘Little Fockers’ Posted: 24 Aug 2010 04:17 PM PDT Not many people are all that excited about Little Fockers, the third title in the series that includes Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers. Sure the movies are good lighthearted comedies you can watch with your family, and that's likely to continue here as well, but there doesn't seem to be much of a buzz surrounding the new installment. One of the major reasons why people have not being excited about Little Fockers seems to be because every actor was coming back except one, and that one was Dustin Hoffman. Hoffman was a new addition to the second movie, but quickly became the most popular character with his strange, free-flowing hippy persona. If a third movie was going to be made his involvement would make it a lot easier to accept, but scheduling and financial complications seemed to doom that hope. Thankfully some time has passed, and it has been revealed that thanks to some last-minute re-shoots and successful discussions, Dustin Hoffman will be filming a few scenes in the movie after all. Steven Spielberg Looks To Adapt ‘Locke & Key’ Posted: 24 Aug 2010 10:06 AM PDT Acclaimed film director Steven Spielberg is teaming up with writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Fringe, Star Trek), as well as Josh Friedman (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) to bring one of my favorite comic books, Joe Hill & Gabriel Rodriguez's Locke & Key, to the TV screen. Since I've been reading the comic book series, I've constantly felt the story would make a great mini-series, movie, or TV show, so it's great to see some validation there. The comic book centers around a family that is constantly being forced into terrible situations ranging from death, alcoholism, the supernatural, and how they deal with each problem. It's a fascinating book, and I cannot wait for more eyes to be focused on this amazing story penned by Joe Hill [...] |
Watch Now: ‘Vaderex’ Is A Prescription Drug Proven To Reduce Dark Side Flare-Ups In Jedi Posted: 24 Aug 2010 07:12 AM PDT Try explaining midichlorians to someone unfamiliar with the Star Wars films and it may come off sounding like a sexually transmitted disease. Building upon that logic, the folks who produce Dragon*Con TV decided to make an interstellar PSA for Jedi who want to live a normal life despite their "condition." While there is apparently no cure for "Midichlorians," prescription drugs do exist that can reduce the number of Dark Side flare-ups and curb symptoms. According to the video, embedded here below, the prescription drug Vaderex can help. "The first time he had a Dark Side flare-up, he only slew a few sand people. But then he moved on to killing younglings. And when he tried to murder his best friend, I knew he needed help. That's when we found Vaderex." [...] |
