Chelsea Handler to host the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards

Expect the trademark raunchy comic from Chelsea Handler as she will now host the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards .

The comedienne announced the gig on her E! talk show, "Chelsea Lately", "Everyone knows that when you think of rap music and hip-hop you think of 'Chelsea Lately.' And that's why I will be hosting [the show]."

The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12.

Britney Spears tweeted that she's on the set of Glee to shoot her scene for the "Britney-theme" episode.

The pop princess tweeted, "About to do my first shot of the day for Glee tweeties! Here we goooo!" and later, she added, "what's up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!! Can't wait for you guys to see the episode!"
Glee creator Ryan Murphy said in recent interview, "Britney Spears is pop culture, and I think she' s been through a lot. I want to do something that just sort of says, you know what, 'thank you for what you have done."

Snooki Pleads Not Guilty on three charges including annoying people

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi pleaded not guilty on three misdemeanor charges through her lawyer on Wednesday in a Seaside Heights, New Jersey court. (August 18).

The Jersey Shore star was charged with disorderly conduct, creating a public nuisance and annoying people at the beach.

The next hearing was scheduled on September 8. If found guilty on all three charges, she could face up to $2,000 in fines.

The 22 year-old reality star was arrested after heavy boozing at Seaside Heights, New Jersey on Friday (July 30) while filming the the hit MTV series.







Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt Divorce set on Valentine’s Day

Shouting the word "Freedom" on coming Valentine's Day is one thing you will hear from Heidi Montag. The divorce of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag will become final on February 14, 2011.

Under California law, Montag must wait 6 months after Pratt received the documents for their divorce to be finalized making the next VDay their official split date.

Montag filed the divorce petition last July 30 in Santa Monica, California Superior Court citing the popular reason "irreconcilable differences".

Kat Von D tweeted dating Jesse James

LA ink star Kat Von D answered the buzz about speculations of her and Jesse James as she tweeted Wednesday afternoon that their dating but minutes later, she deleted the tweet. Her followers also re-tweeted the said confirmation.

The two was spotted in Vegas getting intimate to each other but her rep. denied rumors that the two are into relationship.

But a source tells PEOPLE their friendship could possibly turn into something more.
"Jesse and Kat drove to Las Vegas together in Jesse's car. It was just the two of them and they slept in the same room. They have been friends for years, but this is the first time they are both single."

Richard Gutierrez - “Anatomy of a Disaster” in GMA

GMA-7's primetime actor and environmental activist Richard Gutierrez will host the documentary series entitled "Anatomy of a Disaster" which focus on the natural disaster that destroy our planet and  the proper education to prepare and avoid these calamities.

In the wake of a natural disaster, a multitude of questions, from "why did it happen?" to "how can it be avoided in the future," frequently arises. And despite the pressing urgency to educate people on matters of the environment, some concerns are still not properly addressed, if not totally unanswered.

Beginning Sunday, August 22, GMA-7, through Greenpeace advocate Richard Gutierrez, brings environmental awareness to television viewers as it unravels some of the most destructive natural disasters in our planet's history with its latest monthly documentary series titled Anatomy of a Disaster.

Considered to be a more comprehensive version of Richard's former infotainment show Full Force Nature, Anatomy of a Disaster features different stories of tragedy, survival, and heroism adapted from the international AOD series of the same title. Each of the 13 episodes provides a scientific and detailed account of various natural disasters such as volcanic eruption, flood, hurricane, earthquake, and climate change, among others, in both local and international contexts.
For its local component, Richard will revisit some of the most catastrophic calamities ever to struck our country through interviews with environmental experts, eyewitness accounts, and actual footages, and deliver his spiels entirely on location.

The pilot episode on Volcanic Eruption will take viewers on a trek to Mt. Pinatubo as Richard vividly narrates its earth-shattering eruption in 1990. The explosion, which resulted to the second largest earthquake recorded that year, claimed hundreds of innocent lives, and destroyed thousands of homes in Zambales and nearby provinces.

Realizing that readiness is key to survival, Anatomy of a Disaster also provides viewers with substantial information and practical solutions on how to respond to and prepare for future disasters.
Directed by Rico Gutierrez, the first installment of Anatomy of a Disaster airs this Sunday, August 22, on GMA-7′s Sunday Night Box Office (SNBO).
