‘Incredible Hulk’ Director Louis Leterrier To Helm Sci-Fi Disaster Movie ‘G’ Posted: 23 Feb 2011 10:58 AM PST The Incredible Hulk and Clash of the Titans director Louis Leterrier has signed on to direct a new science fiction disaster movie titled G for Universal Pictures. Little is known about the movie thus far but it's said to be along the lines of a The Day After Tomorrow mixed together with a little Taken. The premise is based on an original idea by Guymon Casady of co-production banner Management 360, and a screenwriter for the movie is currently being sought out. Although Leterrier is locked in, this will not be his next project. He recently signed on to Summit Entertainment's Now You See Me, which he'll be doing before taking G on. Now You See Me is a heist movie about a group of illusionists who rob banks in the middle of their performances. Leterrier was also said to be circling the adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan's Y: The Last Man for a bit, but with his schedule getting more and more occupied it's unlikely that he'll be involved if that movie ever gets rolling. [...] |

Video: ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ Gets The ‘Dead Island’ Treatment Posted: 23 Feb 2011 08:37 AM PST Dead Island has been quite the hot topic over the course of the past week. It started with an incredible cinematic trailer for the zombie game that wowed the masses, followed by news that the rights to make a movie based on it had been acquired, which was then immediately shot down as untrue. With all of that attention, it should come as no shock that people are beginning to make their own video tributes to Dead Island and zombies in general. One such video takes the music and general concept behind the Dead Island trailer, and applies it to the end scenes of zombie classic, Shaun of the Dead. Made by Dan Bull, the video has gained much favor and even star Simon Pegg has sung his praise. You can see the video by clicking on over to the other side now, but be warned: if you've not seen Shaun of the Dead, many spoilers will be seen. Also: if you haven't seen Shaun of the Dead, what the hell is wrong with you? It's the greatest zombie movie ever, and you need to get on that immediately. [...] |
