Dita Von Teese Refuses to Hire Skinny Models for Her Lingerie Collection Posted: 12 Mar 2012 07:20 AM PDT Tweet Dita von Teese recently launched a new line of lingerie and her most important request when it came to hiring models was: “NO” to the skinny ones! Details from Daily Mail: Skinny models were given the ‘axe’ ahead of Dita Von Teese’s debut lingerie launch, it has been revealed. The 39-year-old designer and burlesque star instead plumped for a team of buxom girls to make the most of her Von Follie range which launched last month. Proud of her own voluptuous figure, Von Teese has also starred in the underwear campaign promoting key pieces which include sophisticated knickers, stockings, suspenders and bras. ‘We gave a lot of models the axe for being too skinny – we probably turned away a dozen,’ she told the Herald Sun in Melbourne. ‘It’s important to me [that] we show curvaceous women and fuller-figured girls… Lingerie looks terrific on girls with shape.’ Check out many more pictures of Dita’s models parading on the runway in lingerie next! ...
