H&M Criticised by Doctors for Isabeli Fontana’s ‘Too Tan’ Skin Posted: 10 May 2012 07:42 AM PDT Back in December 2011, H&M was in trouble for using computer generated bodies with real heads in order to feature their products – and it seems that the critics are on their case again, this time for promoting tanorexia in a new set of ads where the bikini model is simply ‘too tanned to be healthy’: From Huffington Post: Isabeli Fontana, who models H&M’s newest summer swimsuits, is dark. Really dark. Dark enough, in fact, to get some doctors in a bit of a tizzy. Dr. Ralph Braun, a dermatologist and professor at University Hospital Zürich, told 20 Minuten, “I find this very alarming.” If Isabeli’s skin is the standard for tan, says Braun, then we’re in trouble:     “Many people, especially young, will to emulate this and will try to just as brown, even though their [skin] type it’s not possible.” Amanda Ammann, a former Miss Switzerland and sufferer of skin cancer, also told 20 Minuten, “I think it’s a shame, because such advertising conveys a wrong impression.” Trying to emulate someone so tan could lead to an addiction to tanning — which, as doctors have recently confirmed, is officially called “tanorexia.” Below: Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana and her usual skin color: See the other 2 H&M ads next!   ... Snooki: “I’ve been bullied my whole life” Posted: 10 May 2012 05:56 AM PDT Reality TV star Snooki, who recently called herself ‘so skinny’ says that she was bullied in high-school for being a pretty cheerleader: ‘I’ve been bullied my whole life. In high school, me and my girlfriends were freshmen and we were all pretty girls in cheerleading and stuff, so the older girls would bully us because all of their guys want to hang out with us.’ ‘I mean, people used to say I was fat when I was the hottest thing ever.
