Miranda Kerr Talks Food Posted: 18 Jul 2012 12:09 PM PDT “I studied nutrition so I’m a certified health coach. I’m licensed to teach people about healthy eating habits and what not to eat. I love food that’s full of life; raw and organic.” “I love to have people over to the house and cook for them and have dinner parties,” Miss Kerr added. “I cook anything – fish, a roast – it really depends on who’s coming and what they feel like and what my husband feels like eating.” “I find the most satisfying food is food that’s full of life, so it’s raw and clean and organic. We have a vegetable patch in LA… when I eat them from there I love that. My grandfather had a vegetable patch when I was growing up and my grandma would just chop the vegetables up and give them to us, so I learned from that.” … says Miranda. Anne Hathaway: “I have a really plant-based diet” Posted: 18 Jul 2012 09:41 AM PDT Anne Hathaway, who admitted to changing her diet and lifestyle in order to play in Catwoman, recently told the press that she turned vegan: "After I finished the rooftop fight, I ate four slices of pizza and split a bottle of red wine with my guy. I hadn't eaten like that in months. I felt so ill. By the time the movie finished, I decided to give veganism a try. You can't go hog-wild as a vegan. You can eat a lot of pasta and have a few vegan pastries. I don't go the soy-meat route; I have a really plant-based diet. So I wind up cooking at home a lot. Kale is amazing. Spelt pasta is amazing. I can't do the white-flour stuff. It makes me really ill." … said Anne in USA Today. © Versus for Skinny VS Curvy, 2012. | Permalink | 38 comments |

Mila Kunis in Interview Magazine Posted: 18 Jul 2012 07:21 AM PDT Mila Kunis, who recently said that she gained 25 pounds since her skinny figure in Black Swan, is featured in Interview Magazine this month and she brings by a few thoughts: Mila on dealing with criticism: "As cheesy as it sounds, you deal with it the best that you can. To be honest, I don't deal with it well. I can't tell you that I'm like, "Oh, I'm so great at dealing with it. It's in one ear and out the other!" That would be complete and utter bulls–t. But I take it for what it's worth. Sometimes I let it get to me—I have internal dialogues with myself all day long. But, you know, people criticize a woman for everything—like, I get criticized for how my hair looks when I go grocery shopping or the fact that I don't wear makeup when I get my nails done. Women get scrutinized all the time for the way they look. So if I can learn to deal with that, then I do believe I can learn to deal with people's criticisms of my film choices." … says Mila See the spread next! ... Thandie Newton Brings the Quotes of the Day Posted: 18 Jul 2012 07:12 AM PDT On being a juicer: “At the start of the play I wasn't feeling great. I had no energy, I was tired, I wasn't eating well and I was putting on weight. Then I started following the juicing recipes in Elizabeth Peyton-Hones's book Eat Yourself Young and I honestly feel fantastic. Now, I juice everything I can get my hands on." On whether she would ever consider plastic surgery: "I'll be 40 this year, but honestly would not consider surgery; all my beauty icons are women with expressive faces. Isabelle Huppert ages so beautifully and gracefully, as have Maggie Smith and Judi Dench. I am struck by their expressive beauty." … says actress Thandie Newton in Hello Magazine. © Versus for Skinny VS Curvy, 2012. | Permalink | 49 comments |
