Roman Polanski is Free; won't be Extradited to United States

Award winning director Roman Polanski will now see the daylight of freedom after the Swiss government denied United States' extradition request over sex charges in 1977. The court decided that they are not in the right position to judge the degree of his crime.
"It's not about qualifying the crime. That is not our job," Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf said. "It's also not about deciding over guilt or innocence."
Polanski pleaded guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977 but then fled the United States before he could be sentenced. Last year, he was arrested in Switzerland during Zurich Film Festival. Swiss court granted him a $4.5 million bail for his released aand since then Polanski is fighting his extradition.

The extradition request was denied after legal records required by Switzerland were not supplied by the US. The downside with this development is the US government can't apply another extradition in this country, but they can apply to other countries to have Roman detained and extradited.

Colton Harris-Moore aka "Barefoot Bandit", the teenage adventurer who lives a thrilling life by destroying properties, stealing cars, boats and airplanes. The 19 year-old menace was finally arrested on northern Eleuthera island in the Bahamas on Sunday (July 11).

The Bahamian authorities was on high-alert as they search for the teen bandit since he reportedly crash-landed a stolen plane on nearby Great Abaco island a week ago.

Colton's popularity became massive with his crime spree. He is gaining more fans as he continuously evade arrest.

When he was 13, his rap sheet had four arrests. In 2007, he was sentenced to four years in juvenile detention after being caught using a vacant home. He has been on the run since escaping a Washington state halfway house in 2008.

Like the other intriguing fugitive story, movie and TV producers are now interested to close a deal about his life as America's Most Wanted Teenage Bandit.

Angelina Jolie's reason on why she declined to do "Wanted 2"

Angelina Jolie wants some reality in her movie and reprising her assassin character in the upcoming sequel of "Wanted" is a bad idea for her, that's why she declined to do the project.
"Being dead makes it difficult," she confirmed. "They were (trying to bring me back) but I kind of feel like if I die in a movie, I should die actually. I'm that way, and that character is not as complex as Salt. It would just be doing the exact same thing in another movie, so it's not that interesting to me."
The people behind Wanted 2 created a script to revive Jolie's character (Fox) after getting shot in the head in the first installment.

Jolie is right, they need a solid script in reviving her character which will be acceptable for the moviegoers and movie critics.

"Despicable Me" at the top spot with $60.1 million

Animated movie "Despicable Me" had a successful opening weekend with $60.1 million while Vampire craze "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" slipped to second with $33.4 million.

In this video, Charlize Theron shows some sword skills and killer attacks as she save Brandon from ninja assassins.

"Crossfire" is the first single from his debut solo album, Flamingo and the music video is directed by Nash Edgerton.

Jesse Jackson compared Cavs Owner Dan Gilbert to a Slave Owner

Jesse Jackson is once again spicing up another controversy as he voice out his opinion on the LeBron James saga, calling the Cavs owner a slave master.

After LeBron James shocked the NBA world by transferring from Cleveland Cavaliers to Miami Heat, Jackson is defending James from Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert for his open letter which he slams LeBron James.
"He speaks as an owner of LeBron and not the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers. His feelings of betrayal personify a slave master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave."

He goes on, "LeBron is not a child, nor is he bound to play on Gilbert's plantation and be demeaned. He has been a model citizen and has inspired the children of Akron, Cleveland, the State of Ohio and the United States."
Jesse Jackson compared the LeBron James-Dan Gilbert situation as slavery from the old days but it seems Jackson is out of order. Gilbert's open letter is just a reaction of what Cavs management and fans felt with James departure.

ABS-CBN primetiime princess Kim Chiu is teaming up with Philippines' comedy queen Ai Ai delas Alas in an upcoming episode for ABS-CBN's weekly series Your Song Presents, "Maling Akala" (working title).

It seems the teaser shows Ai Ai and Kim as Mother-daughter tandem mistaken for wealthy socialites or maybe vice versa.

Another celebrity who decided to tie the knot last Saturday July 10 is actor Martin Lawrence who married his long-time girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs in an intimate wedding at his home in Beverly Hills.

According to People, the couple "exchanged Christian vows in the backyard in front of 120 guests, including Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington. Their daughters Amara, 9, and Iyana, 7, and Lawrence's daughter Jasmine, 14, from a previous marriage were flower girls."

Other couples who who exchanged vows last Saturday are Carrie Underwood & Mark Fisher, Emily Blunt & John Krasinski, and Carmelo Anthony & LaLa Vazquez.

The Devil Wears Prada actress Emily Blunt and The Office actor John Krasinski tied the knot Saturday July 10 at the Villa D'est in Como, Italy.

The bride wore a stunning Marchesa Bridal custom cream chiffon sweetheart draped gown and had a Neil Lane three-carat diamond and platinum ring.

The two started dating since November 2008 after the 26 years-old actress broke up with Canadian singer Michael Buble.

Last week, John's "The Office" co-star Jenna Fischer also got married to writer Lee Kirk.

Meanwhile, Emily Blunt's new project is the adventure fantasy "Gulliver's Travels" with Jack Black.
