No matter what your personal opinion of The Boondock Saints or Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day might be, you can't help but love and respect something like this.

USO shows are a staple in entertaining and bringing smiles to the faces of our military's troops as they serve our country, and countless stars and celebrities have made their way to these shows over the years to do their best to keep spirits and morale as high as possible during tough times.

Now, stars of the two Saints films, Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus (who spoke to us a while back about Boondock II among other things), as well as Brian Mahoney, director Troy Duffy, and producer Chris Brinker are heading off on their own trip. Their destination: the Middle East, where they will take part in one of these USO entertainment tours, allowing them to meet many of our country's soldiers, sign autographs, and take pictures with those who risk their lives to defend our nation. Stealing Fire

Stealing Fire
Written by Jo Graham
Orbit Publishing
Release Date: May 25, 2010

Do you like historical fiction? Do you like fantasy novels? Are you looking for a book that makes you think? If you answered yes to all of these questions, then read on, because I have the perfect book for you.

Stealing Fire by Jo Graham tells the story of the chaos surrounding the death of Alexander the Great and its aftermath through the ever-loyal hero of the novel, Lydias of Miletus. Lydias who, although was once a slave boy, becomes one of Alexander's soldiers. After the death of the king, Lydias chooses to follow Ptolemy, one of Alexander's generals who made Egypt his territory. Ptolemy and Lydias, with the help of the Persian archer Artashir and the eunuch Bagoas, Alexander's lover, must fight to save the fate of the new city of Alexandria and Alexander's legacy.

I went into this book without many expectations having never read much about Alexander the Great or any of Jo Graham's other novels beforehand. I loved the actions scenes, they were great and pretty frequent; however, at times, the novel moved too slowly for me. [...]

Activision Adds Gary Oldman & Ed Harris To ‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops’ Voice Cast

Posted: 10 Sep 2010 09:44 AM PDT

The Call of Duty franchise is a massive name in the video game industry. The war-time first person shooter has made massive waves with World War II games, and their Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 titles were juggernauts in the industry.

The Call of Duty franchise has been split between two developers: Infinity Ward, who created the original title and also handled the two Modern Warfare games, and Treyarch, who made Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, Call of Duty 3, and Call of Duty: World At War. The next game set for release comes from Treyarch, and it is called Call of Duty: Black Ops.

To help add a little more buzz to the game, two top-tier actors have been announced as voice talents in Black Ops. One is Gary Oldman, who will be reprising the role of Viktor Reznov, which he played in World At War. The other is four-time Academy Award nominee Ed Harris, who will be one of the main characters in the game, a CIA Operative named Jason Hudson. [...]

Lionsgate Releases First Full Trailer For ‘Saw 3D’

Back in July the first teaser trailer for Saw VII, now known as Saw 3D, was released, but didn't show a whole lot. Now fans of the franchise have their first real look with the arrival of the first full trailer.

At the time, the movie was said to be called Saw 3D: The Traps Come Alive, but thankfully it looks like the sub-title was demoted to a tagline. It was also revealed back in April that Carey Elwes would finally be returning to the world of the Jigsaw killer after his mysterious exit from the original film, and you do get a little glimpse of him in this new trailer.

Click on over to check out the trailer yourself, and judge as you see fit in the comments below!

Apart from that, being someone who's not nearly caught up with the Saw movies (I stopped after Saw II), I can't say I really know what's going on here. [...]
