TV Series Based On James Cameron’s ‘True Lies’ Coming To ABC Posted: 18 Sep 2010 09:43 AM PDT Recently it was reported that James Cameron was adapting his own action spy movie, True Lies, into a TV series, and that it would soon be presented to networks. It didn't take long to impress and sell a network on the concept; it's being reported that ABC has landed a deal on the True LiesRené Echevarria will write and handle the day-to-day operations on. ABC tried to go down the spy TV road before with an attempt to turn Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's Mr. & Mrs. Smith into a series, but that didn't work out. They're also currently developing a new Charlie's Angels series, as well. For those who have not seen it (and you really should), True Lies tells the story of your average guy named Harry (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who seemingly leads a normal, boring life. He's been married to his wife Helen (Jamie Lee Curtis) for a long while and their romance has become stale, they have a teen daughter named Dana (Eliza Dushku) who hates them, and he works at an office as a computer salesman.
