Every day, Amazon offers up "Lightning Deals," limited quantities of various products for a discounted price for a 4-hour window of time. The Bat Mobile t-shirt

The t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel today is a Batman-themed shirt called "The Bat Mobile."

The tee, by artist Jesse Brais, is on sale at RIPT only for today, Sunday, November 28, 2010 until tomorrow at 1AM EST.

The t-shirt is available in both men's and women's sizes for $10. Kids sizes are $15; Onesies are $18. You can also get the design on a Hoodie for $38 (in Men/Unisex sizes).

You'll notice there's the Onesie option, and this design would be the perfect gift for a Batman fan with an infant. The design depicts a baby Batman in diapers with a pacifier in his mouth sitting in a crib with Gotham City in the backdrop; above him is a mobile with bats on it -- The Bat Mobile, get it?! [...]

Geek Gear: Pink Floyd Meets Zelda In ‘The Dark Side Of The Triforce’ T-Shirt

Posted: 27 Nov 2010 09:18 PM PST

Dark Side of the Triforce

Earlier, I posted here about how Pink Floyd's classic album Dark Side Of The Moon is available in MP3 format right now for only $1.99.

Now, the $9 t-shirt deal of the day over at Teefury today mashes up Pink Floyd's iconic album cover art with The Legend Of Zelda in "The Dark Side of the Triforce" by artist TedDastickJr.

The sale at Teefury began at midnight EST (Sunday, November 28, 2010) and will continue for 24 hours, and once it's over, it's gone forever.

The t-shirt design takes the Triforce symbol from Zelda (of three golden triangles), having it take the place of the prism on the Dark Side Of The Moon album cover. Like the album cover, there's the white light on one side, with the rainbow spectrum on the other [...]

Greedo + High Heels = Your WTF Geek Pic Of The Day

Posted: 27 Nov 2010 05:55 PM PST

Star Wars

Greedo. Son of Greedo the Elder. Bounty Hunter. And high heel connoisseur.

He may now be a pile of slushy guts on the floor of the Mos Eisley Cantina, but before Han shot first, Greedo was a respected bounty hunter that just *LOVED* to go shopping for shoes in his spare time. *Finger Snap* You go, girl.

Yes, today's WTF Geek Pic of the Day (pictured right - click to enlarge) is making its way around the web at the moment via websites like imgur and Reddit, and it's all about Greedo wearing high heels.

I think I'm more concerned about how much George Lucas in this photo looks like he thinks this is somewhat normal. Personally, I'm wondering whether there's a Greedo in Stilettos image floating around. Or maybe Greedo in KISS platform boots. Wait, that one would actually rock [...]

Watch Now: Clip From ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ DVD With Commentary

Posted: 27 Nov 2010 05:05 PM PST

One of the most talked-about scenes in Twilight Saga: Eclipse was when Bella huddles up to Jacob for warmth in a tent while Edward sits by having to watch his love in another man's arms. When the freezing Bella (Kristen Stewart) falls asleep, the werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and the vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson) have an unintentionally amusing heart-to-heart.

You can now watch that scene with audio commentary, which will be included in the special features on the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release (out on December 4, 2010).

Watch the clip here below.

Stewart and Pattinson provide the joking audio commentary, so don't expect to actually here any dialogue from the film, though most die-hard fans already knows what's being said [...]

Iconic KISS Drum Kit Used By Eric Carr Available For Sale To Fans

KISS

KISSmuseum.net has somehow managed to get their hands on elements from the drum kit used by Eric Carr during the 1988 KISS Crazy Nights tour, and are making them available for sale online. As KISS fans (and metal fans) from the Eighties would recall, the chrome Chikara drum kit that Carr used: it was an iconic piece of the KISS stage set at the time.

Eric Carr was the drummer of KISS from 1980 to 1991, stepping in the place of original drummer Peter Criss. He took on the make-up persona of "The Fox" and was part of the band as they transitioned into their non-makeup year; help bring a heavier sound to the band, and performed on albums such as Creatures of the Night, Lick It Up, and Animalize. Carr died on November 24, 1991, after battling cancer for several months. He is always remembered fondly by fans around the world.

Part of Eric's 1988 drum kit was once on display during the KISS Convention Tour in 1995. This is the first time it has ever been available for public purchase. And if that's not enough, KISSmuseum.net also has Eric's Porsche -- also for sale from their website [...]

Geek Art: 38 Days of Groundhog Day; Bill Murray Animated Gif

Posted: 27 Nov 2010 09:55 AM PST

Groundhog Day art

At the beginning of the week, artist Derek Eads posted that he'd be doing an entire week of Bill Murray-themed artwork this week.

Kicking off said event, Eads posted an animated gif of illustrations of the characters the actor has played in his films. See the animated gif here below -- can you figure out who each character is?

Continuing the Murray-a-thon, Eads created 38 Days of Groundhog Day, a chart with illustrations of every day that was shown in the film Groundhog Day. (That's the chart here at right; click for larger, full view.) [...]
