Back in 2009 there were reports that a movie based on the popular puzzler books, Where's Waldo?, was being developed by producer Chris Meledandri through his Illumination Entertainment for Universal Pictures. Before that, the project was set up at Paramount Pictures with Like Mike and Aliens in the Attic director John Schultz attached.

Now the movie has yet another new home, this time the recovering MGM. President of Motion Picture Group Jonathan Glickman made the announcement, which will see the Martin Handford character getting its own feature-length live-action family adventure movie. [...]

Prometheus, the spiritual prequel to the 1979 sci-fi/horror classic Alien that marks the return of its director Ridley Scott to the genre that launched his career, won't be released until next summer and no trailers or footage have been seen by the general public as of yet, with the exception of a sizzle reel shown at the film's panel at San Diego Comic-Con back in July.

Fans of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson got a nice little seasonal surprise on last week on the Halloween episode when alt rocker Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls, author and comics (Sandman) scribe Neil Gaiman (also Palmer's husband), techno music trailblazer Moby, and Stephin Merritt of the pop rock group the Magnetic Fields got together to perform "Science Fiction Double Feature," the opening song from the stage and film musical versions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Nicola Scott Takes On 3-Issue Art Duties For ‘Superman’

DC Comics announced this week that the incredibly talented Nicola Scott would be handling art duties for three upcoming issues of the recently relaunched Superman.

It comes as a shock to no one that, across the board at DC Comics, fill-in artists are coming into the picture at around this time after DC's September wide line relaunch. When details began to emerge that DC was preparing against issue delays, one of the first things fans began to think of was how little time the artists were getting. And it's not just Jesus Merino on Superman, it's Andy Kubert taking over for Rags Morales on Action Comics also, and the list will undoubtedly continue to grow when the issues and story arcs progress [...]
