Watch the main Lightning Deals page (on the right side) to see when this item comes up for sale [...]

As part of Amazon's $5 MP3 Album Deals for the month of November, you can get the entire album The Bends for the low price of $5 [...]

DVD Review: Doctor Who – Day Of The Daleks

Doctor Who

Doctor Who: Day Of The Daleks
DVD
Directed by Paul Bernard
Written by Louis Marks
DVD Special Edition Produced by Steve Broster
Starring Jon Pertwee, Katy Manning, Nicholas Courtney, John Levene, Richard Franklin, Aubrey Woods, Nicholas Briggs
BBC
Release Date: September 13, 2011

The Daleks have been a long-term fixture in the chronicle of Doctor Who, and while the television series is two years shy of its 50th anniversary, it is when the evil enemies of the Doctor are used sparingly in the writing of the show that they tend to shine. They featured in only two adventures during Tom Baker's era, for example; and during his predecessor's reign as the Third Doctor, Jon Pertwee faced them three times [...]

$5 MP3 Album Deal: ‘Tron: Legacy – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack’

Posted: 28 Nov 2011 02:50 PM PST

Tron Legacy soundtrack

For a huge selection of high quality MP3 albums at low prices there's no better place to shop online than at Amazon. Every month the website hosts a wide variety of downloadable discs for $5 at their MP3 Store where each month they have 100 titles available, each of which will only set you back a single digital Abe Lincoln. Since individual MP3's tend to sell for 99 cents at least you're saving yourself a few bucks as well. Among the sweet deals Amazon is offering in November you'll find titles from artists such as Lauren Hill, Bob Dylan, the Black Keys, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, John Coltrane, Kings of Leon, and Norah Jones.

There's not a single dud in this bunch, but there's one particular selection that has caught my attention so I've decided to write about it in greater detail: Tron: Legacy - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack [...]

Bat Analysis: The Batman Adult Onesie

Batman Onesie

There are very few things that shock and astonish me in this life. I feel like I have just about seen everything, but the Batman Onesie produced by Warner Bros. is one of those things.

I've even been aware of its existence before. A friend of mine even got one for Christmas last year, but I had not seen it in action until I saw it in this picture. I'm disturbed, frightened, and a little bit excited for the potential of new Batman merchandise. It's official name according to Amazon is "Batman Comfy Throw Blanket With Sleeves," but is best known as "the lazy man's cosplay." Or simply, the Batman onesie. If you're for some reason interested in buying this for yourself or as a gag gift for your friend, you can do so here, but if you'll indulge me for a little bit, I'd like to examine this picture for just a moment [...]

Grateful Dead

Fan of Across The Universe, but found it to be oddly dull and lacking in the drug department? Well, here's the film for you.

Deadline is reporting that The Grateful Dead will be getting the biopic treatment thanks to ICM lit agent Bruce Kaufman, who was also behind the nabbing of the rights to the song that would later become the title of the solid Julie Taymor Beatles-inspired film [...]

‘Skyfall’ Finds James Bond’s Q

James Bond Skyfall

With the recent revamping of the James Bond franchise has come the absence of one key character: Q.

The gadget maven, best known thanks to a brilliant turn by John Cleese in 2002's Die Another Day, the character's last appearance (as well as by Desmond Llewelyn, who played the character for the 36 years prior), will indeed be returning with the upcoming film Skyfall, but this time, in a much younger body [...]
