Cops gave Jimmy Smits warning over his car's tinted windows

Actor Jimmy Smits was involved in a minor encounter with the law due to his car's tinted windows.

His black SUV was pulled over by the cops and according to TMZ, they corraled Jimmy on some L.A. highway Tuesday. He was given a verbal warning and later released.

It is alarming if you can't see the people inside a vehicle especially if the windows are black tinted. He is supposed to know this things -- remember he is NYPD Detective Bobby Simone on the 1990s police drama NYPD Blue.
