Diane Lane Joins ‘Superman’ as Martha Kent

Diane Lane is now given the task of guiding the Man of Steel as she is now cast to play as Martha Kent in Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman reboot.


Official press release (via Deadline):
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Oscar®-nominated actress Diane Lane will play Martha Kent, the only mother Clark Kent has ever known, in the new Superman movie to be directed by Zack Snyder.

Snyder stated, "This was a very important piece of casting for me because Martha Kent is the woman whose values helped shape the man we know as Superman. We are thrilled to have Diane in the role because she can convey the wisdom and the wonder of a woman whose son has powers beyond her imagination."
Lane will star with British actor Henry Cavill, who will be flying high as as Superman and his alter ego Clark Kent.

Warner Bros. is targeting December 2012 for the release.

Christina Aguilera as coach/judge on NBC’s "The Voice"

Christina Aguilera has secured a new gig in Mark Burnett-NBC's upcoming musical competition, "The Voice". The 30 year-old singer/actress will handle the coaching and judging duties for the show.


In a statement, Aguilera said (via EW):"I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it. To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists' careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms.mI am so happy to be working with fellow Grammy Award winners Adam and Cee Lo as I feel there is so much we can all bring to The Voice."

Joining her in the judging panel are Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine of Maroon 5.

Meanwhile, Aguilera recently made headlines after she was arrested for public intoxication with her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler.

Keith Richards' daughter Theodora Richards Arrested!

Model Theodora Richards, daughter of Rolling Stones' rocker Keith Richards, was arrested for drugs and scrawling graffiti in New York on Tuesday (March 1).


The 25 year-old model was caught with a "paint marker" painting "T (heart) A" graffiti in a wall of a building in Soho. During the search, police found marijuana and a controlled substance (hydrocodone - prescription pain killer) in her possession.

Richards, who appeared Wednesday afternoon in Manhattan Supreme Court, turned down the plea deal offered by prosecutors of two days of community service and one day of substance abuse classes.

No plea was entered and she will back in court on April 21.
