Cavs Owner Dan Gilbert slams LeBron in an Open Letter; calling Lebron "narcissistic" and "coward"

Posted: 09 Jul 2010 01:28 AM PDT

NBA superstar LeBron James will be wearing the Miami Heat jersey leaving Cleveland Cavaliers fans frustrated and heartbroken but Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert is not bowing down as he released an open letter to Cavs fans slamming LeBron for being "narcissistic" and calling the king "coward".

Dan Gilbert promise that team will be more competitive and he wrote, "I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER 'KING' WINS ONE."

Full Open Letter below...

Dan Gilbert Open letter:

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;
As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER 'KING' WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

Dan Gilbert
Majority Owner
Cleveland Cavaliers

Vanessa Paradis: "space" keeps the relationship with Johnny Depp stable (Marie Claire UK-August 2010)

Posted: 08 Jul 2010 10:21 PM PDT

Some people are having problem if their love one is always away which cause the relationship to fall apart but for Johnny Depp's girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, it is the opposite.

Vanessa admitted to UK's Marie Claire (August 2010), "First of all, you have to be lucky enough to find the right person. Next, the fact that we're not together every day plays a big part in keeping our relationship stable... We understand that, if we want our relationship to continue, we must give each other space, allow each other to go off on our own, and trust each other. Not everyone is lucky enough to be given space and trust. You're really lucky if you find someone you can trust when you spend time apart."

Talking about what she admires about Johnny Depp, "I could make an endless list of all the things I admire about him, but above all I admire his immense loyalty. I love watching him when he's thoughtful or involved in something. I love observing him when he is talking to people. I love seeing how he deals with situations… I could go on and on, tell you I admire him as an actor, as a father and as the man he is for me. But more than anything, I admire him as a person. Not only when he is talking to me or his mother, but as a person in the world, in all kinds of situations. I think he is magnificent. Truly magnificent."

This hot model has been in a relationship with Johnny Depp since 1998.

Drew Barrymore talks pushing the limit and get reborn (Elle August 2010)

Posted: 08 Jul 2010 09:44 PM PDT

The lovely Drew Barrymore is on the cover of Elle's August 2010 issue and she opens up about pushing herself to the limit and knowing the right time to stop and recharge.

The 35 year-old "Grey Gardens" actress also talks about being single, aging and many more...

On taking stock of where she is now: "For three years straight, I've been burning the candle at both ends, and as of last December, I just didn't have anything left. I've been so aggressive about living life to the fullest and being plugged into everything, but now I've ripped the plug out of the wall and put it on the floor for a while. I'm thinking about the same things as when I was 15, about spirituality and who I am, who I want to be. It's cocoon, pupa, larva, and fuck, I'm reborn!"

On the media's misconceptions of her: "I make movies. I have a passion. Puppies and daisies don't accomplish anything. That's not me at all."

On being single: "If you're 35 and single and it's a choice, it feels fine. So I didn't settle with the wrong person yet. Big deal!"

On her upcoming role in Going the Distance: "I like that it's not a traditional romantic comedy, with the story line of, 'Oh, I slept with this guy, but when I woke up, I found out he's the CEO of my company, and we're going to live happily ever after once we go through all these crazy perils. I talk shit with my girlfriends. And it can get dirty."

On why she's not afraid to get older: "I don't want to be vain or fearful, and I don't think I'll do anything [in terms of plastic surgery], but if I want to do something, I will. From my perspective, there's no reason to be afraid of aging, because if you age, you're lucky! The alternative is death."

On child stardom: "I was raised in unique and trying environments, but they were also amazing platforms for me to have an extraordinary life. Going through hell as a kid made me sensitive to what others in this world go through too."

Chris Evans talks about "Captain America" costume ans shield

Posted: 08 Jul 2010 09:11 PM PDT

Chris Evans shared that he likes the stylish-cool look of his red and white stripes costume as he is set to star in the upcoming film "Captain America: The First Avenger".
"It's an amazing costume. Given the fact that his costume is red, white and blue, and it's tight, and it could be kind of flash and over the top – and given the fact that the movie takes place in the '40s and '50s – they've done a really good job of making it look really cool."

"I think everyone that's going to see it is going to say, 'Okay, well done. Well done. I think they got the costume right. The casting they completely ruined, but the costume they nailed!'"

"We've been testing a lot of shields. Last time I was in London they had six shields and I had to hold each one, see if I was comfortable with each one, see which one we all thought had the right look. The thing is pretty heavy, so I'm not sure I can throw it that far! I'll give it my best shot, but hopefully they'll have some sort of stunt shield when it comes to actually chucking it!" -Empire
The costume's concept art is definitely hot and iconic! Captain America is directed by Joe Johnston and it will hit the theaters on July 22, 2011.
