George Lopez & wife Ann Lopez Divorcing, ending 17 years of marriage

TV host George Lopez and wife Ann Lopez have decided to called it quits, ending their 17 years of marriage.

George's rep says, "George and Ann Lopez have made the decision to end their 17 year marriage. The decision is amicable and by mutual agreement. They remain dedicated parents, and committed partners in business and their philanthropic organization, The Lopez Foundation."
The soon-to-be ex-couple tied the knot in 1993 and they have one child together, Mayan Lopez.

Aside from the child, Ann's deep connection to George will remain as she saves his life in 2005 by donating one of her kidney to her husband.

Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom: First Wedding Anniversary

Many says that their marriage will only last for a couple of weeks and some bet for just couple of months. Now, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom celebrates their first year Anniversary!

The reality star is still in a bliss and she feels that her marriage with Lamar will last longer.
Khloe blogged, A year ago today I married my best friend. I am so excited to be celebrating our one year anniversary!!!! I can't believe it has been a year already, it feels like we just got married yesterday, but at the same time I can't believe it has ONLY been a year. I feel like sooooo much has happened in just one year. My life has changed so much, and I as a person have changed even more. I have never been happier, never been so at peace, never been so in love. I am a better person because of Lamar. I laugh constantly! He brings so much laughter, happiness and fun to my life yet he also keeps me calm and grounded. I feel like I truly discovered myself the moment I met Lamar. 365 days have passed since we got married and each and every one of those days my husband has been the first thing I think of when I wake up, and the last thing before I go to sleep. I truly wish this kind of happiness upon everyone, I feel so blessed.

Happy anniversary to the love of my life! Thank you for everything you have given me. I love you. I can't wait for our 80th wedding anniversary!

Katy Perry to Guest Star on "The Simpsons"

Looks like Katy Perry found some new liberal friends via "The Simpsons" after her "Sesame Street" segment with Elmo was rated too hot for TV.

The 25 yer-old pop singer will appear on The Simpsons for a special Christmas-themed episode titled "The Fight Before Christmas", airing on December 5. She will appear as herself in a live-action segment that will feature the Simspon characters as puppets.
Executive Producer Al Jean said: "In the wake of Elmo's terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry."
Katy Perry will also perform "The 39 Days of Christmas" with the other characters.

Just recently, Katy Perry's kid-friendly duet of her hit "Hot N Cold" with Elmo became controversial and the unaired Sesame Street sketch appearance has been pulled from the show after parents complained about the singer's cleavage-baring dress.

'Bones' Emily Deschanel & David Hornsby: Married!

Actress Emily Deschanel finally say "I Do" to her longtime boyfriend David Hornsby Saturday night (September 25, 2010).

Her rep. tells PEOPLE that it is a small and private ceremony held at the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles and bride wore a pair of matching diamond and platinum scroll hair pins and drop earrings by Neil Lane.

Meanwhile, Deschanel is busy with Bones' sixth season while for Hornsby is his work on FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I-WITNESS “Lola Minera" airs Monday (September 27)

Howie Severino enters the dangerous world of gold mining in Itogon, Benguet. The documentary features women who are forced to do this dangerous job due to poverty.

Benguet is arguably the most pockmarked and pitted province in the country today due to centuries of mining for gold – a century of corporate mining continued today by small-scale miners. It's a sight to behold – a mountain with hundreds of bore holes on its façade, and even more fascinating to enter one of these dogholes or 'usok' as the locals call them. The dogholes extend for several kilometers snaking horizontally and vertically. It's wide enough to crab walk in single file.
It's a dangerous job – the threat of a tunnel collapsing to bury one alive is a constant. So is oxygen deprivation or gas poisoning. During typhoons, the danger of overflowing rivers looking for alternate water channels have resulted to flooding in some dogholes, killing miners who did not to get out in time.
It is typically a man's job. But hard times have forced even their women to enter the dogholes. These are not your typical women, however. For one, some of them are already lolas! In between crawling in the dark, dripping tunnels for several hours to collect sacks of ore, these women are raising families and doing household chores.
"Lola Minera" airs on Monday, September 27th, on GMA-7's I-Witness.

Rod Stewart facing lawsuit filed by a Designer

Music icon Rod Stewart is facing a small problem in the wardrobe department! A designer filed a lawsuit at L.A. Small Claims Court against Stewart after failing to pay $7,500 worth of clothes.

Designer Karen Mathews claims that Stewart ordered clothes for several events in 2007, including his wedding to model Penny Lancaster ... but never fully covered the damage.
Karen's rep tells TMZ, "The clothes were never payed for in full and [Rod] kept the rest of the clothes without ever returning what hadn't been payed for" -- adding, Karen hasn't had a problem like this in 30 years ... which "speaks for itself."
But according to Stewart, he is not interested of paying up a bad design.
Stewart's rep. says, "[Stewart's wedding suit] wasn't produced on time and was ill-fitting and totally unusable. He had to buy a proper suit at the last minute."
